Do you ever get the feeling that the world is spiraling into chaos?
Or perhaps it has always been chaotic, but it seems more prevalent now with the increase in media presence, social networking, and how connected we are to each other across the globe.
But it seems like the feeling is getting stronger that 'nowhere is safe.'
That terrorism can strike anywhere, not just at the battle field anymore.
Anywhere is a potential target.
A movie theatre, A school, A chocolate store, a newspaper office, a hospital.
Anywhere is fair game for lives to suddenly end,
More often than not, by gunfire or bombs.
And you never know what will be the trigger.
The little thing that sets off the killer on their rampage.
They can strike anywhere.
Anytime.
And you don't know until you're in the middle of it, or hearing about it afterwards, when the deed is done and over.
Yet,
Still I have hope.
Hope for the goodness in people.
For the mantra that if you do good unto others, good will be done unto you.
Heroes will still arise to take on the villains, and no matter what happens, we always grow closer together after such events happen.
Terror is only momentarily.
Strength and Solidarity always come in force afterwards.
Lifting each other up, supporting each other,
Terror cannot win.
We won't let it.
Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
