A while ago, a woman came by Starsmet to buy a snake, particularly, a ball python.
I didn't think much on the why. From the way she spoke she'd recently lost another snake of hers and wanted to get another companion.
So I helped her out, told her what needed to be done to care for a younger snake as hers had been bigger, given to her by a friend, so she wasn't used to the babies.
And that was that.
Until a few days later, when she returned, to give back the snake.
Why?
Apparently she hadn't lost her snake as in 'it died.'
Apparently she'd lost it as in....lost it. It'd escaped and she'd thought it gone forever.
And she had found it.
In the cushions of her couch.
Alive.
()_() How in the crazy do you not notice a snake in your couch?!!?!?
Crazy. Totally crazy.
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream
There was an old split tree. One stump two main trunks one thicker than the other set on the edge of a field of sorts where people could gather to watch performances. In the tree there had been placed a rifle into a knot/hole in the tree. Connected to the rifle, at the point of the trigger was a handgun. Both were together, and when the trigger to the handgun was pulled, an explosive fire shot through the tree and into the crowd. Missing many but killing 2-5 people. Months later, the floating news scrolls (scrolls that flittered through the air, with tv newscaster images on it) Proclaimed that they had video evidence of what had caused the explosion and showed the rifle set up. It also (though not shown directly) reviled that one of the guys -Dalinor- of the city had placed it there. Dal wasn't one of the 'normal' kids as it went, but he'd been accepted. Until now. Fury broke out among everyone as he'd kept this secret from them the whole time. -He'd felt guilty the entire time- but there was no actual proof against him. And people let their anger die down whenever he retreated up into the hill forest, so that he was continually able to venture back down among the humans for a time until they got angry beyond reasonable again. Until another explosion happened, in the downtown...beach area of the city. There, people he actually knew like Tiffany Rae had died. Many more than the tree shooting, which Dal had discovered had had a false bottom made of gunpowder/dynamite which caused the explosion. But this recent lost of life, sent people after him, so he had to run all around the college/highschool/jrhigh grounds trying to escape the mob chasing him. He encountered two men, one didn't say much and was short full of muscle, while the other was tall, lanky, carried a pole and acted a bit like a hillbilly hippie. He was extremely flexible easily able to jump to the top of a stairwell -which made me think he has some sort of air powers- it was uncertain whether or not these guys were still friends with Dal or if they'd become his enemy to. He ran across a rocky beach of sorts that highlighted the front of the school where the woman -light brown hair pulled up in a high bun, was doing an interview with a famous guy -a bit like Gilderoy Lockhart at least in personality. He had dark hair, commanding features, and had been famous at some point. And at that point Dal, accidentally set off a power of his, creating a sort of sonic boom of sorts that rushed him across the rocks, right in front of the power, exposing him. Gild saw that power, and craved it for himself, and when Dal dashed up to the hill to the woods to escape, Gild didn't let him escape. Dal had to press on from his usual stopping point of a split tree that had a fallen log -that was slowly disintegrating- in the split and run on, jumping over a slight dip between two hills, that held this gigantic wolf, it was white with black spots -like a Dalmatian- and was nearly triple the size and height of a regular wolf. In it's jaws lay the remains of a smaller black four legged creature, not quite a wolf, but of similar shape. Both creatures were dead, recently as there was still fur on the bones -though it had 'dried out' so there was no smell or rot to it. This wolf, had been a friend/mentor of Dal...and to escape from Gild and the others chasing him, he too easily changed into a wolf form -normal sized- and ran for it. But the others were catching up. They were going to kill him. So he split himself in two, leaving a grey/white wolf to distract the men, while his black wolf self ran on dashing for freedom, freedom that wasn't quick in coming for the men weren't fooled long and he ended up having to switch back to human form, tried to sneak into the army hunting him and blend in there, but ended up nearly getting captured and having to run again, finally cornered against a cliff wall...
the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again. :)
