To Clean the Floor

For Christmas last year... or maybe it was the Christmas before that?
In any case, in one recent Christmas, my parents gave me a vacuum.
Which worked great!!

Until...randomly it didn't.
I mean, it would whirr and purr and make all the vacuuming noises.
But nothing would go into the canister that holds all the random dust things.
-I could tell because that part was clear.

O.o
Obviously that couldn't be right.
As I would see things on the ground, and sometimes they'd disappear under the vacuums head.
But wouldn't appear into the canister....

My roommates noticed too.
And wrote off my vacuum as 'crappy'
and Ended up bringing in their own.

Well.
It only makes sense....
That when I was moving out.
I would finally figure out why my vacuum had stopped being so great.

*shakes head*
Note to self: Take time to figure things out.

It started with me glancing at the roller.
And pulling out all the hair that had conglomerated there.
It wasn't that much really, as I'd done that during a cleaning check a time or two before.

But in the middle of turning that vacuum over.
I dislodged something in the hosing area.
....and realized that 1.
It was a wad of lint and who knew what else that had fallen out of the hosing area.
And 2. The hose....wasn't connected to the vacuum. It was connected to the handle -which I think becomes it's own vacuum? I didn't look close enough to check.
But I went over to the trash can, and dumped out a bucket load of lint and things.
Reconnected the hose to where I thought it actually should go.

Turned on the vacuum.

And my vacuum was working!!!
Yay!!! :D

Who knew that it would take that to make my vacuum work again.
I certainly didn't, but now I know better for the future. ^^ Yay.
