Flooding

Gotta love the midnight dramas that happen.

*exhales*

So, just barely our neighbor came to our place and knocked on the door.
And since it's nearly midnight....
That's always a little bit freaky.
Especially when everyone but me was already basically asleep in bed. 

I hadn't even heard the door being knocked on actually. 

But I did hear a guys voice upstairs, and so I went up to investigate as a different roommate had opened the door to our neighbor.

Who had come over to complain that our sprinklers were flooding his basement. :S 

Uh oh. 

We all went out to investigate.
and sure enough in the backyard,
There was a valve box that was doing it's best to mimic a water fountain.
Gushing water all over the place....

And....apparently into our neighbor's basement, flooding the place.

Who knows how long the water had been flooding it.
Or why the water was flooding in the first place.

But we acted quickly, and turned off the water to the yard to get at least the valve box to stop mimicking the fountains. 

*exhales*

But it's definitely not a way to head to bed that's for sure.
Because our relationship with this particular neighbor is already kinda strained anyway.....
So to have an issue crop up that affects the neighbor's house....

Mmmm talk about stress.

At least our neighbor seemed calm enough, mostly just focused on getting the water to stop.
But the morning could bring out a different story. 

*shakes head*

Hopefully the flooding of their basement isn't major...hopefully. 
But only time will tell. 

Definitely not the way any of us wanted to spend our near midnight hours.
Stressing.
