I 'snuck' onto a construction site tonight.
'Snuck' because a family member is in charge of the site, and therefore gave us permission to enter it, carefully guiding us through the timber strewn everywhere within the fence line and into the building that's still in the framing stage.
Like the stairs leading upstairs had only been built like...the day before? Maybe the day before that?
Crazy!
So yah, in the semi darkness, we quietly made our way up and up and up to a ladder that led us up onto the roof.
A nice flattop roof.
That lifted above the rest of the buildings around us.
And gave us the best view of the local fireworks!
Nothing obstructed us this year around (as I'd been to the same spot before in previous years before the building began to be constructed) No bright lights to try and block out.
No people hanging out around us.
Just me and the fam.
It was great.
And the fireworks were so pretty and visible, and done much differently than the ones at the golf course I saw last night.
Lol the only downside?
It started raining the last ten minutes of the performance.
So most of the family hightailed it back below to watch from one of the windows.
But I had my jacket and Daddoo had his blanket so we just wrapped ourselves up and watched the grand finale there.
It was different.
But it was nice.
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
