So the manager wants to get rid of one of our two reptile endcaps in our store.
As we've struggled to have all the cages filled with reptiles.
It's been a year or so if not longer since we've managed that.
So the manager is looking to just go down to one endcap.
Which means we have to figure out how to get all the reptiles we do get in onto the one endcap IF it does happen.
As I usually can fill up a side and a half with reptiles.
So I have like five cages or so that I need to fit on the other endcap.
And when our DM came in.
She suggested one thing we could do was to move our Aquatic Turtles inline with our fish.
As some of our newer sister stores actually have the turtle tanks on the fishwall with the fish.
The manager loved that idea too.
And today, I had a little time to do just that.
So with some slight direction from the manager, mostly with him picking which tank to use (and move fish out and into a different location so they wouldn't be eaten by the turtles) and a turtle dock to place in the tank---I went ahead and moved the turtles to one of the fishtanks on our top row.
-As the DM mentioned that there's a higher potential for theft if the turtles are within reach of customers on the first two rows of tanks.
So a bit of moving fish, cleaning, and decorating and I was able to move the turtles into their new home!
Of course some of the coworkers weren't happy with it as we don't have a heat source or anything besides a normal light for them currently
But the turtles seem to quite like being able to swim around their new home.
As the cage on the endcap can only hold like maybe four inches of water? So it's enough to cover the turtles but they can't quite swim around.
So yah.
Hopefully the new tank setup is more to their liking though we'll have to keep an eye on them and make sure they're eating and staying healthy and such.
But I hope they'll do better in this setup where we can clean their water more easily and customers can actually see them.
Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
