So the crazy thing about yesterday.
Was that it was foggy.
Like the entire day.
O.o
Which I know in some areas of the world/country it's pretty common for the days to be fog covered.
With grey haze everywhere you look and no sun visible whatsoever.
But it's not that common here.
Sure we'll have misty mornings.
Occasional misty evenings/nights.
But an all day thing?
Not so much.
It's rare.
Though apparently back when my Dad was in college he told us that it once stayed foggy for like...three months? The fog appeared in Novemberish? And didn't leave until February/Marchish?
O.o
Like can you imagine being surrounded by haze for that long?
Of course Daddoo also added in that there was more pollution back then so that was probably a factor as well.
But like.
It was weird enough to have it foggy just for one day here.
I mean I've seen the foggy days on the coastlines.
It's almost expected with all the water there.
But here? In the desert?
Not so much.
But foggy it was.
And foggy it remained...except for the period of the bridal shower oddly enough. XD lol.
The fog parted and the sun shone while we were celebrating my sister.
And pretty much as soon as the party was over, the fog descended again.
Leaving us back in that misty haze.
That then became like this creepy horror movie sort of foggy haze as night descended.
Seriously.
It was spooky outside.
And the fog was thick enough we couldn't see to the end of the street.
I was rather grateful I had already planned to stay up for the weekend because I didn't want to have to drive in that. :S S: :S
Though Kikay, Ash and I did end up driving around a bit in it anyways lol Just not all the way back to college town.
No we ventured out to get dinner and then supplies for events happening today. XD lol
And it was so creepy.
So very creepy.
Especially because like there were a ton of people -panhandlers- standing on the corners holding signs in this foggy mistiness.
Which totally just upped the creepiness of being out and about.
Because like...you're driving along and then suddenly this dark figure emerges from the fog, standing on the corner....
It was otherworldly.
I'm rather glad that the fog vanished today.
Dunno how I would have handled another day where you couldn't see down the street. :S
So I'm glad it was back to a more 'normal' winter conditions....though driving in pouring rain back home was hardly ideal. :S :S
*shudders*
Driving in the dark with the rain pounding hard enough on the roads to make the lines vanish?
Yah...not sure which would have been worse.
The rain or the fog....
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
