195th Annual General Conference - Saturday Session Highlights

 Saturday Morning

Jeffrey R. Holland

  • Do you pray only with your mouth while you're puffed up with the vain things of the world? Or do you pray with your entire heart with full intent?
  • A child in prayer is as if there is heaven in the room.
  • Many of us profess to be Christians, but we do not take Him seriously. We respect Him, but do not follow Him. We quote His sayings, but don't live by them. We admire Him, but don't worship Him.
  • Whoever shall humble themselves as like a little child will be the greatest in the kingdom.
  • The Book of Mormon will be the most rewarding book you'll read.

Camille N. Johnson
  • Thy faith has made thee whole.
  • If healing and wholeness are not the same. Can one be made physically whole by him, but not yet emotionally or spiritually?
  • You can be whole while you wait for healing if you're wholehearted in your relationship with him.
  • Faith in Him increases my hope for healing and my hope increases my faith.
  • Through our Faith in Christ we can seek to be spiritually whole while we wait for physical and emotional healing.
  • We are the light of the world.
  • We are commanded to share the light so keep your lamp full and light burning brightly.
  • When we share the light we bring the relief of Christ unto others.
  • Even in our weakness our strength in Christ can be made perfect. Complete. And Whole.
  • Rejoice in the world always.
  • The answer is YES. We can be spiritually whole while waiting for physical and emotional healing.
  • Wholeness is born in Faith in and conversion to Christ and letting the light of that conversion shine.
  • Many are called, but few will be chosen.
  • Will you choose now to be Whole in Him?

Ronald A. Rasband
  • We are His people and He is our Savior.
  • The temple opens the way for the highest blessings the Lord has in store for us.
  • Our need to be in the temple on a regular basis has never been greater.
  • One of the things that distinguishes us from other religions is our emphasis on education.
  • Give the Lord equal time. Balance your studies with true higher learning.
  • Whatever is on your 'to do list' give equal time not spare time to the Lord and Scripture study.
  • Let God prevail in your life.
  • The more prepared we are. The more we can protect ourselves against Satan's attacks.
  • Faith in Christ can lift you up and heal your wounded soul.
Quentin L. Cook
  • Sometimes we are between storms and sometimes we are between clouds and sunshine.
  • While sin can play a significant role in our trials, many things outside of our control can also effect us.
  • The Atonement provides hope and light in a time that seems dark and dreary.
  • Do not underestimate the importance of doing what we can to rescue others from physical and spiritual challenges.
  • Gratefully accept the Savior's Atonement.
  • Our goal should be to live optimistically.
  • Live on the Sunny Side of the Street.
  • Set aside consistent time to contemplate the Savior and his Atonement.
Ricardo P. Gimenez
  • Even though doing righteous things is a good thing, when we connect them with the "Why" we will be blessed to understand the reason and "get it right."
  • We shouldn't be doing things 'because they've always been done that way' or to 'check off a box' but in order to gain better understanding on how we connect what we do to what we believe.
  • Many voices will try to influence you and tell you things that are necessary are not actually necessary. Don't listen.
  • Be slow to consider or be immune to being influenced by misleading ideas.
Henry B. Eyring
  • Experience the Joy in coming Closer to the Savior through simple acts of obedience.
  • Remember to stand as a witness of God at all times, in all things, and in all places.
  • God will be one with you in you service and will make your burdens light.
  • God's arms are always outstretched to bless and succor the children of our Heavenly Father.

S. Mark Palmer
  • You may be hanging on by the barest of roots. But you're still able to hang on and return even better than you were before.
  • Are you longing for Faith?
  • You're always welcome to come back. Your faith can be strengthened once again.
  • Don't call out because of their sins, but despite of their sins.
  • The Journey back is not always easy or comfortable, but it is worth it.
  • Focus your Faith on Christ and His Gospel.
Sandino Roman

  • Consistent, personal, private acts of devotion invite the Holy Ghost to Guide us.
  • Disciples always promote believing in God, serving him and doing good.
  • We can avoid deception by worshiping consistently in the Temple.
  • No one can accept the Gospel and the Holy Ghost on our Behalf. You have to do it yourself.
  • God expects us to magnify the abilities we've been given, but doesn't want us to compare our abilities to others.
  • God wants us to become the best version of ourselves.
  • When we serve others we serve God.
  • Trust the Holy Good like you would Trust a cherished friend.
Hans T. Boom
  • Put your Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ despite the Trials surrounding you.
  • Just Carry On.
  • This is not the Church of Man. It is the Church of Christ.
  • What can be your breaking point can instead add to your strength and conviction.
  • In order to gain or grow a testimony, sacrifices will need to be made.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
  • When most people experience the Church for the first time, what they are likely to notice above all else is how they feel when they are with us and how we treat each other.
  • Love one another.
  • In this mortal life we rarely get to experience the ideal instead we get to experience the real.
  • Do not give up on the ideal. Strive for it.
  • Be patient with one another. We're each a work in progress.
  • With the Lord's help. Nothing is impossible.
  • God does not view things the way people do. God looks at the heart, while people usually view the outside appearance.
  • We are One in Christ.
  • The unity we seek is to not have everyone stand in the same place, but to have everyone face in the same direction. Toward Jesus Christ.
