A Moment of Forgetfulness

I had to go to the dentist today.
For my six month check up...
to see if I would be one of those 'lucky' victims selected to have cavity's needing to be filled.
It was a long drive up from my apartment.
So I went the route of eating some breakfast, brushing my teeth and intending to wait til after the appointment to eat a much wanted lunch. That way when I dropped by my house, if I didn't have enough time I wouldn't have to rush brushing my teeth.
Well...that didn't go exactly as planned.
I ended up in the backyard of my home.
And I remembered. My old roommate had had peas ready to eat.
And I knew that we were growing peas in the garden.
In the backyard.
So what did I do?
Yep. I wandered over to find them.
And I encountered!!
Strawberries ^^
Bright. Red. Juicy.
Yes. I popped two into my mouth then and there, enjoying their juicy deliciousness.
Before I continued my hunt for peas.
Because they'd been moved from their usual place. >.< Instead Tomatoes..not yet right were there.
And for a moment I was devastated, thinking that I'd missed the Peas, that they were gone, that they hadn't been planted like I was told.
But then!
Eureka!!
I found them.
Behind me.
And it was then.
Only then, after snarfing ten of them into my mouth.

That I remembered my earlier thoughts of...
DO NOT EAT TIL AFTER THE DENTIST
*sighs* A Moment of Forgetfulness.
And my teeth got a second bath in toothpaste.
Curse those Delicious Peas and Strawberries.
Oh well. ^^ It was an early reward.
I received the all clear cavity-wise!! Woot!

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

I was in a grocery store line checkout stand...but it was in a restaurant.
I was trying to buy something and my cashier ended up being Jackie. (an old roommate)
But she wasn't really helping me.
I finally got my thing bought (not by jackie)
...and spotted her sitting down with a boy in a restaurant styled booth.
I went over to say Hi. Since I hadn't seen her in a while.
But she was...distant.
I asked her if the boy was her fiancee.
She wouldn't tell me a straight answer.
I asked what time her wedding reception was (she's getting married this weekend)
And she wouldn't answer.
I asked if she sent me a wedding invite (she sent one to another old roommate)
And she wouldn't give me a straight answer.
So basically I threw my hands up at her. (not literally but that's how I felt)
And left. Headed back home.
It wasn't a fun walk.
I was in heels walking downtown in the direction of the Gateway, or my Mom's work.
And I was trying to walk quickly because it was getting late.
But...it wasn't working. I felt sluggish. And I moved rather slowly.
With a more determined step then a quick one.
Though there were people around me; a woman with blonde hair, a guy that was kinda balding in a jacket.
Going in the same direction. But I wanted to move quicker and it wasn't happening.
I eventually came to the entrance of one of the skyscrapers and went inside
intending to cut through to the otherside to continue my journey home.
But there were a group of women standing in the middle of the building.
And they looked familiar as I approached.
They were taller then I remembered though. It seemed like they all were 'basketball player' sized.
But I was positive that they were teachers from my Elementary School.
One looked like Mrs. Call my 5th grade teacher.
But most of the others were teachers I've seen, but never been taught by.
Like Mrs. Thorton, Mrs Norton. And others.
I went up to Mrs. Thorton because she was slightly shorter then the rest.
And I was like "You look familiar"
She said the same thing "You look familiar too."
"Mrs. Thorton?" I asked.
And she said "Yes."
I told her who I was and we had a nice 'reunion'
Where she hugged me and invited me to stay for the celebration and I got to talk to the other teachers.
And I found out they were basically having a 'reunion' party.
For a 'special' teacher.
My fourth grade teacher Mr. Danielson.
For being the 'only guy teacher' in the school.
Which was odd...I remember Mr. Unger, and another guy teacher being at the school.
But in Elementary Mr. Danielson was my first guy teacher.
I was over away from the door when He walked in.
Everybody flocked around him saying congratulations and all that type of stuff.
And my brother Meralto was suddenly there.
Though he looked to be really young. 5 or 6.
Mr. Danielson spotted him first and thought he looked familiar.
He kept trying to get my brother to talk.
But it wasn't working.
-Apparently Meralto had Mr. Danielson in first grade as a teacher after he stopped teaching the 4th grade.
(Not true. Mr. Danielson taught for one year then moved to a different school entirely to teach.)
But when I came up to Mr. Danielson he caught the family resemblance.
And I think he recognized me.

But the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

Hi

I was helping an old roommate out today.
She was watching a neighbor's baby boy.
But she needed to go to physical therapy to strengthen her leg after ACL surgery.
So I got the fun job of entertaining baby James during therapy.
He's a pretty cute kid.
But what was fun was that he liked to say "Hi"
He said it all sweet and breathy with a big smile on his face.
lol. He had all the people at the center 'awwing' over him.
It was adorable.
And reminded me of myself.
Mostly because my first word was "Hi"
(I'm pretty sure I did a blog post on my first word a while back.)
So I felt a connection. :)
He is such a happy kid.
We played with my keys for a while. He'd drop them in my hand.
I would say "Yay!" or "Good job!"

and he'd throw his hands in the air.
It was fun ^^ lol

Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

I was standing on the roof of my parent's house leaning against a balcony railing in the shade of our two almond trees. (we don't have a rooftop balcony in real life)
It kinda was like I was standing on the porch but the porch had been moved up a level.
Anywho I was looking down upon a celebration.
A party I wasn't invited to.
That of my...cousin. Brady. (Though he had alot of Dudley characteristics)
It was his birthday and me...being considered basically a 'servant' an 'unwanted child'
was not invited to celebrate.
Though a figure came up to me and asked me why I wasn't down there...I don't remember my response.
I just know I went downstairs...not to celebrate.
But to help clean up.
We had a shed -white and purple and really ramshackle- filled with a bunch of stuff.
And my aunt. (it switched between AT, Gail, and Stephanie)
wanted me to unpack all the rendezvous stuff.
I don't remember the reason.
But I do remember moving a bunch of those boxes. Paranoid I was going to get bit by a spider
Because I was barefoot.
My head kept brushing the ceiling
and I placed a box on top of a pretty big yellow looking spider.
Though I never did see any other creatures...besides a few snail shells
as I moved boxes from the shed, around the shed, to the area behind the shed.
Then....
There was a fire...
and we were trying to get everybody out safely because of the war.
We were on my UB and AT's property. And we were trying to convince everyone to leave.
But UB and AT weren't having it. Neither was...Gail I think. No...Brady. Brady was there as well.
We packed up what we could my family and I
But UB and AT were adamant that they were staying.
I told them that they'd be killed, or tortured, that I'd experienced the torture and they wouldn't like it. They'd die.
But they insisted that they would stay.
So very broken heartedly.
We left :(
And ran through the town.
-There was a virtual thing, like a GPS that we followed as we drove through town.
It was like we were following the virtual google van. The van that takes pictures of all the neighborhoods and such so you can see them in real life on the Internet. Yah we were viewing the roads and streets through the windshield of that van.
And there was an older blue colored sixty's van that was wider with people in the back.
And the 'camera' zoomed in on them though the boys in back were still unclear
with a random narrator voice in the background saying
"This is the first time we've had a photo of people pointing back to our car. Making it unique" or something like that.
We came upon this construction site in a pit.
And my family was debating about how to get down and away.
When the area filled with smoke from fires.
And we just went at it. Running through the smoke to get away.
I had help from my mom...
suddenly we were in my parent's house again.
by the front door.
And I saw a black cat.
I thought it was dove, and I was really excited to see her still alive.
But it was one of her kittens. Though I did see Dove.
I ended up with three kittens -black and white. One had a white body and a black head-
to play with though they were struggling a bit to get away.
Anywho, my mom...or sister saw another cat with kittens...four or five of them.
Not with Dove but with a different mother.
But as I was trying to read my book.
'the next day' I ended up having all 9 kittens with me.
I was very protective of them lol. I didn't want them to die.
I was still mourning the loss of some of my family to the war.
When...they appeared! looking a bit haggard and dirty.
But my UB, AT and Gail were safe! They'd made it out alive with their pets.
And I found Brady (he looked somewhat like Draco at this point) in a torture chamber
Where it looked like an ancient tower brick oven, but it was the entrance to a pit filled with fire and coals
and Brady was in it being tortured.
I let him out. And he was like: "Wow, you were right that was torture."

Then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

Printer Vendetta

Have you ever realized....that the printer is out to get you?
To make you late? to make you suffer, and plead and beg that it does its job right for once?
Especially if you're on a time deadline?
Yah...
Today that happened.
I needed to print off a bunch of papers...copies of the same thing. For myself and Kikay.
I was under a bit of a time deadline so I decided to speed up the process.
-I was printing double sided to save paper.
And before this point, I'd always printed one copy at a time.
This time, I decided to print four copies and see if that would work.
I figured it would, I didn't see why it couldn't...the printer is pretty smart after all. :)
And yah...it worked.
Until the last set of copies was being double sided. >.<
For some reason, three of the pages decided to "stick it out together and survive this torment."
Which meant for me...that they survived...but I had to reprint one more copy of my paper
since page 2 was now on page 5. And that wouldn't work.
So I hit reprint...
and unfortunately...I thought it had reset back to only 'one copy' No. It did three...without me realizing it.
The printer distracted me because I realized that I was almost out of paper and I needed to find some more.
Well...I couldn't find any more printer paper. :( We were out...or else it'd gone into hiding...but basically we were out.
And I turned away to find...that three copies had been made instead of one.
With all the rest of the paper...gone. It had used up everything in doing that!
So what did I have to do?
Let Kikay borrow the computer (its hers after all since mine is still on vacation)
While I went to the store to get some paper.
.
..
...
....
...
..
.
I returned triumphant with printer paper!
Only...the laptop was in the middle of intense creative use by Kikay.
And time...was ticking by. The deadline coming closer and closer...
I ended up calling and extending the deadline by half an hour.
Waiting....I waited for forever!
But finally. I was able to print!
>.< but the printer was being dumb again.
I placed the unfinished copy on top of a stack of brand new printer paper to double side that side.
And....the printer decided to eat the copy. >.< I had to tear the paper from its clenched ink teeth.
Ruining it >.<
At that point...I gave up on reprinting Kikay's paper. And she ended up with one copy that was all single sided.
Then it was my turn for the copies I needed printed.
:) And luckily, the printer behaved itself. ^^
The deadline was met!
Woot!!

lol...I halfway think my printer has a vendetta against Kikay.
Something seems to go wrong whenever she needs to print.
Whether its running out of ink.
Or printing weird so the ink faded in or out when the cartridge was full.
Or the situations mentioned above. :) lol
Perhaps my printer isn't used to working so often. (once a week.)
We haven't had to print this much in a while and I think its throwing a fit. lol.
Against Kikay...for which I'm grateful.
After all...the printer is in my room, I'd rather it not be mad at me. ;)

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

Me and my friend Casey were nearby the college grounds.
In a forest. There was a house on the side of the hill.
It was supposedly haunted.
The house was run down, made out of dark wood.
My brother, Meralto, had taken a picture of the house
and in the photo apparently were ghostly images of children praying.
So Casey and I decided to go explore.
As we were approaching the haunted house along the side.
A man...wearing dark robes and his face painted white like a skeleton came out of the woods.
He had a woman...with him...she was like an 'igor' type person.
We were going to stand up to the man.
But he did something.
And suddenly...I think Casey became a dragon. A black dragon.
Or he was suddenly over on a brighter hill top with all his friends.
Perhaps it was both...no I think Casey was just over on a hill top with his friends.
But I was terrified because a black dragon came into this somehow..
Perhaps Casey was both dragon and human...hmmmm
Anyway I took off running not wanting to meet the same dragon fate as Casey did.
I kept calling to him. Trying to get him to hear me.
But he was..singleminded in his cause..whatever cause the skeleton faced man put him up to.
Yet I knew, if I could just get into the shadows I'd be safe. The shadows of the other tree tops.
Which I did. I crouched down in a small set of shadows left by a mysteryvan type car.
And suddenly Casey was himself again.
He came down the hill to see if I was alright.
But his concern seemed....shallow. Like he didn't really believe that anything was wrong.
Hurt. I let him go back to his friends, and moving to another shadow made by a tree...
sat....feeling hurt.
Until I heard some music.
And I was suddenly in a hotel room with my family.
It was dark and I was trying to pack up my things...different tools and such without waking the others.
But they woke up and started packing as well.
And we set out on a hike.
In the forest.
Following the music.
It was the Institute Choir singing songs from a program they put on last semester.
They led us to a green spot next to some water.
I don't think it was safe to go into the water, yet people did...

and then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

Roundabout Biker

A conversation between me and Kikay while driving on the roundabout.
Kikay: Watch out! Don't hit that biker
Sarnic: No worries, I sawed him.
A moment later after passing through the roundabout.
Sarnic:....sawed him in half.

Yah. Kikay and I have our moments.
:) :) :)

No bikers were harmed in the making of this blog post.

The Dream

I was jumping along a row of trampolines.
To a pattern of syllables. Trying to get one bounce on one trampoline per syllable.
It wasn't the Do-Re-Me etc. syllables, but they had their own pattern.
I did this a few times. Sometimes making it all the way down the line of tramps and back on once bounce.
Sometimes not.
I got to the end of the line of trampolines.
And looked down, way down over the edge to the city below.

Somewhere...help was needed.
And I could help.
It was like the trampolines was a training exercise for heroes.
Because suddenly the others were wearing blue 'green lantern' types of suits.
I could wear my own supersuit.
But I had to do a backhandspring on the trampoline in order to have my suit appear.
Yet, I couldn't. People kept getting in my way. So I couldn't do the trick to make my suit appear.

I snuck onto a train.
It was to get us to the place of superheroes.
I was in a train car with two other people trying to hide.
The car was filled with a bunch of...furniture, dishes and such.
And we were hiding from people who were searching the train.
Because we weren't 'real' you could say we were robots..but we were human.
Perhaps its easier to say "we were human, they were supers." or something.
But there was a girl and guy hiding and I found them, but then I had to hide too in order to not get caught.
They were in the third section of the 'train car' where it hadn't been searched yet.
Well it was about to be.
I hide..not too well. I was on the floor trying to sneak under a table when the guy -in an cowboy styled hat.
walked in and started using his flashlight to search.
Amazingly...he didn't see me. I managed to keep out of his line of sight and get away.

There was a gathering of superheroes.
And my partner and I were late.
But we were also the newest of people...like freshly told we were superheroes new.
To get to the meeting ground the people would 'zap' to a room with lots of dots on the floor.
When a person appeared a 'shower curtain' of some sort would spring up hiding the people from view as they arrived. But when it came down the people were dressed in their costumes.
Well when I and my partner arrived....
that didn't happen. We just stayed the same. In our street clothes.

Which was bad, in the sense that it showed how unused to having powers we were.
But our base came under attack.
And we had to hide.
Or at least I ran to hide, because I held the key of knowing every secret passageway in the superhero base.
And the evil queen (snow white queen) was desperate to have it.
I ended up in a secret room, with a spiral staircase leading to nothing.
Only it was a trick. If you step on the third step from the bottom a certain way then you could unlock the door from the ceiling and head up into the room above. (I knew this trick because I've had this part of the dream before involving the staircase and what follows after this point.)
I shut the door and locked it with a...handle lock. Where you had to twist the handle so it would basically 'screw shut' but you only had to flip it around once and lock it into place with a loop.
I was just in time, a rather...scaly man tall, beefy, muscular but greenish in color came into the room I'd been hiding in with a bunch of other henchmen. (he looked like that green dude from the recent star trek movie.)
Unfortunately...he decided to search the top of the staircase this time.
Which meant. I had to move.
Above the top stair with about enough space to fit my head in between the ceiling and the stair was another trap door. Like a ventilation shaft.
In order to unlock that one you had to unscrew the...bowtye shaped 'nut'  in a certain way. or you had to undo two of them.
I didn't have alot of time.
But I was able to burst through the vent shaft before the guy got there.
But not before I could shut the door hiding me.
He spotted me. Saying that he didn't want to fight, but wanted to join on my side.
That was a lie, as he was talking he tossed a device.
Like a button. it was round on the bottom but rounded into a bullet like shape with a red blinking light.
And it flew passed me and landed by the cabinet. Where it turned green.
That wasn't good. Because it told of my location, and also of where a secret room/passage way was.
I scrambled to it and tossed it away. and tried to shut the bottom half of a doorway...
But a girl spotted me, spotted the device and picked it up.
-the room I was in was a kitchen that had a 'two' door thing where you could open up the top half and the bottom half separately.
I remember thinking. "That's a stupid way to hide a secret room."
Then I realized I wasn't in a 'secret' room. it could be accessed quite normally.
I had another problem though. The girl...she was running around twisting the device and unlocking different secret passageways.
Now that the device knew what to look for it would flash when there was a secret passageway nearby.
So the girl was exposing all of my 'secret passageways' that were keeping me away from the evil woman.
I ended up taking it away from her and sneaking under a table. Used the device to quickly open the door and hide just as the evil woman walked in. The little blonde girl....well she was a bit of a tattle tale.
Telling the woman where I'd disappeared to. (it was under a table/piano type of furniture through the wall)
I started sneaking away...because I realized that it was just a short passage that took me from that room to the living room on the other side of the wall.
The girl hopped up and stuck her head into my grandparents...'dinning' room  from the wall leading to where their kitchen would be in real life.
I ducked down, but the girl saw me. "I saw a person!" she said as I scrambled to an inclove..outclove? a niche in the wall.
I remembered my grandma telling me that Uncle Blake had found a passage in that niche but we couldn't find it.
This time however instead of going straight into the niche. I turned to the left wall of the niche and twisted the device at it. Surprisingly it opened and I made my way inside shutting it behind me. but I feared they would find this hidden spot just as easily as the others.
I was heading down the narrow passageway on hands and knees. Heading for a distant room with sunlight coming into it.

when the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

The Fireman Rescue

Last night my sister, Kikay, wanted to make cookies.
We were both yearning for the sweets.
And sadly...we were sweetless.

So Kikay went to work.
And made us a delicious batch of cookies.
But, when the last tray of dough was in the oven.
Kikay collapsed on the couch and the following conversation happened.

KiKay: I'm so tired! I'm going to fall asleep right here, and the timer will go off and I won't move, and the cookies will burn, then the oven will catch fire and explode, and the fireman will have to come to save me.

Sarnic: Are you assuming that I wouldn't wake you up?

KiKay: Well, you would try, but I'd be unconscious, and you'd try to move me, but I'd be too heavy, so you'd have to call 911 and escape to save yourself and then the fireman would have to come and save me.

Sarnic: I'm pretty sure the beeping of the oven would get to me.

Kikay: But what if you feel asleep and didn't wake up and I'd be asleep and the oven would explode and the fireman would have to come rescue me.

Sarnic: I'm still pretty sure that the annoying beeping noise would get to me first.

Egg Rolls

I have to hand it to the containers Eggs come in.
I didn't have much faith in their sturdiness.
Hence.
Whenever my sister and I go to the store to buy eggs.
We always treat them super carefully.
Like a bomb about to go off.
Or glass that we don't want to drop.
After all...its pointless to buy eggs if you break them all before you get home.
So therefore.
We were super paranoid about where we placed the eggs in the car,
who took them up to the apartment
Who put them away.
After all one drop and SPLAT! They'd all be broken.
But no...surprisingly.
That wasn't the case.
Last time we bought eggs my sister set the bag on the counter.
She thought it had been firmly placed there.
But there was also bread in the bag...
and the bread overbalanced enough...and I guess got caught in the bag.
So the whole thing went tumbling head over heels
To the ground.
The egg container landed face up.
And my sister and I were both; ()_()!!!! NO!!!!
And ran to the eggs.
We opened up the container
Expecting them all to be cracked with yolks spilling out and the whole thing a big mess....
surprisingly though.
That wasn't the case
out of the dozen.
Only three cracked.
The rest were still whole.
:D You can imagine our relief :D lol.
Though we did mourn the loss of those three. :(
Still. I have to give more credit to the case holding the eggs. :)

The day was saved because of it. :)

Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

I was looking in the fridge for something to eat.
And I came across the bacon that we had cooked a while ago.
We'd placed the leftovers back in the fridge to heat up when we were hungry again.
Well...I was hungry.
I pulled out the bag.
And surprisingly.
The bacon was only cooked along the edges. A thin border of cooked meat.
While the center was raw again.
Apparently the longer the cooked bacon remains in the fridge.
The more it will go back to its 'original' state
of being uncooked.

Well...at least the bacon can never go bad that way. :)

And that is why
the fox never came home. :)

The Ball's In Your Court

Its always fun to have those moments of total chaos isn't it?
Where I was just sitting there....being unproductive.
Lulled into a happy daze.
When the world suddenly shifts.
And then.
My phone starts dinging me like crazy.
(It sounds like "DING!" that's the noise it makes. Its not hitting me on the head ;) )
A snag has come up in a plan.
People are unsure who to go to, or what to say, what to do
Because they thought things had been done...when they hadn't.
And I'm suddenly scrambling to try make it all work out.
*sighs*
And yet...the ball is in their court.
My side cannot cross over the line until their team does.
I can call out to them, try and convince them to come across my line.
I try to do this while there is still time to do something.
Like when 3 minutes are left on the clock.
Instead...I was contacted when less then a minute remained.
Meaning that my side has to scramble to try and get our play to work with the other team's play.
Why this sudden snag? It seems to be there was a feint made to come to my side of the court.
But they never fully crossed the line.
So we're scrambling trying to make everyone happy.
And hopefully by the end of the game.
Both sides will go home with smiles.
Believing that they did their best and that it was the best they could do. :)

Hopefully my team can scramble in the final seconds.
To pull it off, unfortunately...it won't be known for a bit.

So for now the ball is in the other team's court.
Hopefully my team gets it back before the end of the game. ;)

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

We were at....a zoo...
or at least a makeshift zoo while the actual zoo was being rebuilt.
It was almost like the zoo had been placed inside a school/university/museum type of place.
The first exhibit I came to (I felt pretty young at first like maybe 10) was of...aquatic creatures.
I think I saw some penguins, I did see alot of fish. and in the background like a narrator
there was a teacher telling us about different types of sea fish (all of them were 'flat' fish like Dori from Finding Nemo or angel fish, those sorts) Though there were some real fish they also had models of fake fish in the tanks as well with labels on the wall below the tank telling us what type of fish they were.
The fish were really life like -the fake ones- and I had been impressed that they didn't move from their placement above the cards about them. Then I realized they were fake.
The dangerous looking creepy silver ones were fake.
As I moved down the line of tanks headed to a staircase (it was an open area so you could see the room below the staircase) I passed by a tank with a mini (baby?) humpback whale. -the whale that 'eats' Dori and Marlin in Finding Nemo. It looked like its bigger counterpart. So I thought it might have been a miniaturized version. A pygmy, a bonsai...and this place didn't have just one mini whale, they had two. I saw the other one as I glanced about the room.
But I made it past the 'fishy' room and encountered a type of maze. Where I could make a choice of where I wanted to go.
The first fork lead me to a classroom.
The second lead me to a different room.
I went down the first fork (the left one) to the classrooms, saw they were classrooms, doubled back and took the second fork to see where it would take me. I saw a glimpse of...Savanna-African animals, and satisfied I turned back and went back to the classrooms.
Why? Well I was curious as to why they had this classroom as part of the zoo experience.
There..I think I encountered children. (dream is going hazy)
But the next thing I knew...was that I was in my parents house. In the hallway. Trying to get all our cats and dogs out. -I think there was a fire or something. So I had a handful of cats and I was trying to get the dogs out. I had to keep turning around before I made it out of the house though.
How come?
Well the lights. I kept turning them off. But whenever I turned back to them after having turned away. They were back on.
After doing this three or four times. I kept my eyes carefully on the lights.
But...I glanced away once, and my parent's light was on again.
But at this point I was like "Bag it! it can STAY on for all i care!" and I turned and left.

We were in a store. With a bunch of different toys.
I found a basket filled with talking bugs. They were stuffed animals and when you threw them against the ground. They would would say a phrase. If you hit them against a hard surface again, they would say a different phrase.
I was really happy to find these toys. Because I remembered them from when I was younger. And I thought to myself 'they're coming back into style! Woot!"
Needless to say I got distracted with them for a bit.
Until my sister and mom distracted me. I continued looking around the high-end store with all its....fancy jewelry and objects. (it seemed high class because all the furnishings made the rather ordinary objects look extraordinary)

Mom came in when I was near finished with wrapping the presents.
We talked for a bit and my present ended up sideways leaning against the wall. (it suddenly became pretty long) And I thought it looked like a...well it had a similar shape as the Star Trek Enterprise ship.
Mom said something about prices and I checked the last box of presents...the part that hadn't fully been wrapped. There were three stuffed animals. Two smaller -like the bugs and one bigger...like a monkey.
I tore off their price tags (the bigger one was $14.75 I think...the smaller ones $??.99 )
Then I had to get to school.
Only there was a big snowstorm. Still I was sure my car could make it. After all it was a tracker, a jeep type car, it had four wheeled drive.
So I was driving through the snowstorm on unpaved roads up a hill.
And I turned off into a church parking lot. (because I actually needed to go downhill...)
I was finding it hard to brake so I turned in to basically get control over my car.
I ended up sliding across the parking lot. My foot was to the floor trying to brake. But i ended up hitting a fence anyway. My car was undamaged though because it was a chain link fence. I was relieved that I didn't total my car, and relieved that I hadn't hit the other four or so cars in the parking lot.
I managed to get myself turned around and saw a silver...car type car near the entrance parked by the enclosure holding the garbage cans. I only noticed this because I thought it was a weird place to park. But it made sense in a way because that car was safer and could get back onto the roads easier.
As I was making my way up to that silver/grey car. I saw a green jeep come into the parking lot (he had a black carry case thing on top..to store things in)...and basically try the same thing I did.
Only...he...got more damage then I did. The jeep had less control...and ended up crunching his hood.
-the church parking lot was divided into two leafs a shorter one and a longer one. He crashed at the end of the shorter one. As I was leaving the lot I looked back and saw him going down the longer one like I did to get control. He ended up crashing into the fence barrier (it was a different looking fence) like I did. Though his hood was normal again...so i think he came away with no damage as well.)
I turned and headed down to the school.
I was walking the hallways of my university when I got a text from Dan.
There was a sort of...festival going on at the school.
And the last time the festival happened Dan had turned in twelve Pepsi Visers and won a prize.
His text told me that he had 12 Pepsi Visers again. I wandered the hallways trying to find him and the Pepsi booth I remembered from last time. But then his next text...confused me.
Because apparently he wasn't THERE at the fair. He was on a vacation somewhere.
That was rather frustrating.
I ended up in a craft store. where there were two metal glitter objects.
I took the first metal object it was silver with the glitter on it and added some blue by moving my fingers along the pattern.  (they were thin almost like bracelets in thinness but not meant to be worn in the same way)
I picked up the second one, made of copper to try and do the same thing, only without the same results.
And it was like...I was transported into a  memory. Where I was still in the shop.
but now a whole different scene was happening before my eyes.

It wasn't clear. Mostly it was just my thoughts telling me a story.
About a young man. Who traveled between two worlds in order to save 12 princess's that were lost there.
One of them being his 'one true love'
Yet he didn't rescue her first.
For he was afraid that if he did, he would not want to rescue the other girls
So instead he left her for last. Though between each 'rescue' the time seem to get longer and longer.
Finally there were three, then two...then only her.
She waited.
and waited.
and waited this dark haired woman (She looks like Veronica from the Sorcerer's Apprentice)
Until she realized.
He had forgotten her. he had gone onto another girl. Another love interest.
She basically snapped. Turning evil.
Destroying others and becoming the thing that she had feared most when captive.
But then one day a young man came to destroy her.
For he could travel in between the two worlds like his predecessor.
Only..the man had a secret.
The first traveler's soul was locked up inside of his.
And his presence made itself known when the woman faced off the kid.
His explanation for not coming back....
I got the sense that he had been killed. But his soul had been searching for a way to free her until he found this boy.

The story grows dim as I set the copper armlet thing back on the counter.
Yet I can still see it the scene before me

as the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away...
and I became myself again.

Extra Info

-I've seen Finding Nemo Recently
-I also read an article last night before going to bed about a guy who has underwater sculptures that are meant to be covered with coral over time. And one such statue has...they were a yellow fish...flat...i think they were angel fish. come to live around that statue. It was amazing because those type of fish hadn't been seen in years.

-Alot of this dream came from really random bits and pieces of things I've read or seen recently. And they meshed together in such a way....that it would take waaay too long to explain it in a way that made sense. Mostly its a "I saw this picture of a bonsai tree and it made its way into my dreams as a bonsai well. Things like that :)

And that
is why the fox never came home. :)

Heat Wave

My brother and I are alike in many ways.
One way we're alike...
When it gets too hot at night...we become restless.
My brother takes it a step further, he usually ends up sleepwalking when he gets too hot.
Which is why he's slept with a fan blowing cold air on him for many years.

Me? I just toss and turn and try and find a cooler position.
Until I finally wake up enough to realize.
I AM HOT!!
And then I go searching for the switch to turn on the AC get a soothing drink.
And go back to bed.

Its rather annoying. I'd rather sleep the whole night through without waking up. :)
But hey...at least I don't sleepwalk :D

Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

I was in a...glade.
A place where it was very green.
There was a pond and a slight hill leading down to it.
near the water's edge was an old tree.
And there I met an old man and two other people...women I think.
The man was very familiar to me. A past enemy...
most likely from a different dream. He had grey hair, was very clean cut, and had an 'evil' look to him.
But he was being rather...nice. Helping me to get to my feet. So that I could balance on a tree root.
-The tree was...like a walnut tree...but it had black/white type of bark.
With long hanging branches...that resembled a swing.
At one point I was swinging on one of the hanging branches over the water.
and managed to get enough momentum that when I swung back I swung up to the 'platform' of the tree. It was like a mini forest up there with lots of branches growing straight up.
However, I'd hit...forbidden ground. And my presence up there...helped release a person from a spell. (i don't remember if it was boy or girl)
To the old guys pleasure, but not mine.
My reaction was like: "oh great. Not this again."
So i started running...
And ended up in a...hotel breakfast room where I ran into
Zack Zimmerman from high school.
He was actually nice to me. And talking to me -the outcast and unpopular kid in school. (not true in real life)
Then I ended up by Holten Hunsaker the football player. He was in the same room working out...he was on a massage type table...but it was vertical. Lifting weights.
He didn't really talk to me...so hurt I moved away...but Zack 'confronted'  Holten saying that he should be nice and talk to me because I'm a great person

and then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

Sugar Frosted Cookies

There is a problem with buying frosted sugar cookies.
In the fact that they have to last the whole week.
Yet like most sweets...
I just want to GOBBLE THEM ALL UP RIGHT NOW!!!
>.< yet....I can't.
Because I want to have some tomorrow.
>.>
But I look over.
And those cookies are sitting right there.
In plain site.
Taunting me.
<.<
Now it becomes a tug of war
between myself and the cookies.
Right now I'm winning. Though there have been a few really close calls.
Where the cookie almost won in its objective.
But oh no.
It won't win!
IT WON'T!
I'll WIN!! I WILL!!

.....yes. That cookie is sooo not going to be there after tomorrow.

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

Note: I just was going through some cartoon blogs, hence my crazy post above.
*sighs* I wish I had my computer back so I could draw cartoons to go along with things like this.
Patience. Patience.
(for those who read my Joust post. I'm on book 3 now :) )

The Dream

I was in a "Little House on the Prairie" type of dream.
Where I was Laura, my hair in pigtails, and my sister was Mary.
We were doing something school related -going to, leaving from, having recess...we were outside.
When a bunch of guys...most of them small wiry and blackhaired
attacked Mary. Tearing at her dress and leaving her in her longsleeved nightgown.
And they were tearing at that as well.
-We had somehow made the boys antagonized...though we didn't really understand why.
-I think it was overall a general misunderstanding.
But I didn't want them to have their way with my sister.
So I joined in the fight. Hitting and pushing the guys away until I could reach Mary and pull her away from them.
Afterwards...three guys....but one kid in particular came up to me
and we talked.
Basically the guys were feeling a bit....picked on by other people.
Because they were attracted to their same gender.
So they had banded together to fight those who were against them.
And i told him: "Look. I don't care who you're attracted to. I'll even be your friend, just don't hurt us, I don't like that." <- not exact wording but that was the general concept.
We left each other...basically with the agreement that we weren't enemies, but that he still didn't trust us to be friends either.

I wandered with Mary along the water's edge trying to cross a stream I think.
And heard some voice say: If it rains in the mountains, that's good because it will keep the snowpack from melting too quickly and flooding the valleys.

We made our way into a rendezvous type setting. Where there were people selling goods like in a typical rendezvous...Indian/mountain men gathering.
But my sister and I came across this woman.
Who said that she had a special thing...for our hair...whatever she wanted, she convinced us to try it out.
Though I was unwilling because I needed to write my part of our family newsletter and send it to my mom.
But the woman had us basically tied to chairs. With our hair done up and such.
Because her intentions were....well not good.
She rubbed and placed different concoctions into hair/skin.
I was trying to write.
And decided that it wasn't going to happen.
So I was trying to figure out a way to leave my mom a message saying that I couldn't write my part after all (I had forgotten to do it earlier, she said do it later, I didn't do it 'later' as she meant but was working on it much later (the next day) and now...I was being detained from doing so. so i would have to tell her that I actually wasn't going to write one.)
So...my solution as the woman was doing stuff to my hair.
Was to try and write "Sorry Mom" in the pink frosting on a cake.
The woman was talking throughout my struggle to leave a message about side effects we might be experiencing...like not being able to see. My sister got a peculiar look in her face...
And the woman took that as an assent that she had gone blind for the moment.
That made me a bit more frantic to try and write my message in the stupid frosting
(I couldn't spell...or the frosting wouldn't clearly hold the words I was trying to write)
Before I went blind.
Finally I gave up...and decided to send a text message instead.
Then there I was...stuck with the woman messing with my hair.
She had most of it up on top of my head.
And was taking a razor to the back of my head. Cutting it short.
And she was massaging the back of my head as if she were trying to get the sutures between the occipital bone and the parietal bone to...cross hatch. To get them to over lap like jagged teeth...because apparently that was part of the ritual.
Which seemed to be to try and turn us into some other creature...like wolves.

Like the four wolves that had been tossed into a horse trailer. (they were as big as horses it seemed like...okay perhaps a little smaller but they were pretty big.)
We left them there and went running into the castle.
Dumbledore, myself and Neville Longbottom.
We were trying to avoid the corrupt council of magicians but our group (there were more then just the three of us) kept getting smaller as more members...basically died.
The castle had a...sickly neon green glow to it...and at one point we passed by a...niche with strings of people who were dead hanging from them. -miniaturized and like a bust of a head instead of the whole figure.
We ended up being captured by the bad guys...and taken through a series of secret passages into a room with a bunch of obsidian knives.
I knew that there was one knife among all these different ones of shapes/sizes/styles/colors, that was evil and would turn Matt down a dark path. I turned watching and Neville (Matt) sure enough went straight to a black obsidian knife with a blade similar to that of an ax, with an antler handle and picked it up.

One of the three bad guys had disappeared. Nobody could remember seeing him before the horse trailer
So we returned to it, and the woman who'd been working on me and my sisters hair. to let the wolves out.
Apparently the bad guy ended up accidentally being put in the cage as well.
There was a sense of bits of blood and we found a shrunken skull...
Well we saw the skull, with eyeballs still in it, though one of the wolves took the moment to suck the eyeball out of the socket. (it was skinless just bone and eyeballs)
One of the people grabbed the head...now palm sized and turned to me and one other person
and said "Are you sure its him?"
Then using his hands, the guy manipulated the shrunken skull, which now had skin making it round and chubby though the skin was tight to the skull. To bulge out its eyes and stick out its tongue.
The woman next to me basically burst into tears crying that it was her son. And what had I done! Why had I killed him! And I retorted that MY son had died because HER daughter had thrown a party and he'd been killed at it!

And then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

Extra info.
-First part of the dream with the boys and Little house on the prairie characters...i have no idea why I dreamt about them. They seemed familiar to me...and I think that they bore resemblances to the guys my sister and i played ultimate Frisbee with on Monday for FHE. -Our team had four girls, while the other team had only guys...and our team won. So that might be the source of 'contention' the guys had in the dream.
- the Little house on the prairie part...I've seen the title as I've flipped through channels recently and I used to watch the show alot when I was younger with my mom.

-Second part with the weather...I'm thinking it was Ryan Rose, a high school friend of mine who has a weather blog that was narrating what would happen if it rained. Plus, there is a worry of flooding in my area because of the snow pack in the mountains as well as the increase in temperatures as we head into fall. So my brain was trying to come up with a solution to keep the snow pack manageable.

-Third part with the rendezvous....I haven't been to one for a month, but I tend to dream about rendezvous settings pretty often...I don't pay attention to the timing but at least once every two months or so. Mostly its because I spent alot of my elementary school years in the rendezvous world. So in a sense its like a second home to me.
-The part about not getting my part for the newsletter done. Is actually true. I had forgotten to write it yesterday, so mom told me to send it last night, but I decided to write it in the morning. Mom sent me a text this morning -waking me up before the third part. Asking if I was going to do my part. I told her yes I was, after I slept for a little longer. So that part of the dream about trying to get my part written, was in response to me sleeping for a while more and my mind getting paranoid that I wouldn't write it in time.

-The fourth part with Harry Potter.....I've been looking at a few HP things recently. Not sure why Neville came into the picture...I think its because I think of him as 'clumsy' and I needed an 'underdog' character in this adventure.
-The corrupt magician council is an idea taken from the Jouster series by Mercedes Lackey specifically book 2: Alta because that's the book I'm currently reading at the moment.
-The part about Matt and the knife. Is from the Wheel of Time series. Matt is my favorite character from those books and the part where he falls under the evil knife...is a sad part. :(
Soo....I didn't want Neville to repeat Matt's mistake..but he did it anyway. Hopefully for his benefit.
-The knives were a carry over from rendezvous where you can find obsidian knives.

-The last sequence of events.....I have no idea really where I got these from.
Though the argument about 'you killed so and so.'  'well your daughter killed my son' I think was taken from the new TV series "Switched at Birth" where two babies were switched at birth and years later they discover the switch and now have to deal with other families different from themselves.

And that...
is why the fox never came home. :)

Joust

One of my favorite series to read over and over again,
is the Joust series by Mercedes Lackey.
There is something about those books.
Where I can pick them up again and again
excited to immerse myself into the story and
read again the adventure of my favorite characters.

Joust has been a series where I turn to it when I need something 'good' to read.
Whether its because I've gone through a bunch of...less then stellar books
that left me more frustrated with the writing then excited about the story line.
Or whether I've had a hard day.
I find the Joust series particularly the first book.
A way to sooth my troubled reader-self
and remind me that there are good books out there. :) lol.

Lately the Joust series has had another effect.
I started the first book: Joust yesterday...day before yesterday..I forget.
And it got me excited :)
To write.
I had ideas coming out of my head, and finally today after starting the second book: Alta
I finally got past a block I'd been having with Chapter 1. ^^

Perhaps that will be my solution from now on.
If I have a block. I'll start reading a book I know is good already.
And that will get my creative juices on a roll again.
Therefore making it possible for me to get through my writers block!

Its perfect! haha :)

Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

My neighbor Mandie was getting ready for a show.
I and another person were helping her to get ready
by braiding her hair. She'd dyed it three different colors
Black, white and pink.
But..I was finding it difficult to braid her hair.
Because I wanted it to be just right, and look perfect
and it wasn't working. I kept having to redo the braid I was working on
Just to try and make it look right.
Finally we got both sides braided into 'pigtail' braids...but
my partner and I noticed that we'd missed the layer of hair on the back of the head.
-which looked brown.
So we had to undo the braids and figure out how to get that part of the hair evenly divided between the two braids.
But the division in the hair wasn't working.
Because my sister (Mandie became my sister at some point)
had cracked open her skull earlier and it had been 'stapled' back together to work.
-I remembered this event happening earlier where her skull was split down the middle cutting her head in half. (Like a cadaver head cut in half) and that we'd fixed it, but not so well..it seemed like a temporary fix.
Yet when we pulled the hair apart...I could see through the 'fix' and into her head.
And it looked like the 'fix' was becoming undone.
Then it got terrifying. Because the 'fix' did become undone. And Her head split again sending one side towards me and the otherside towards the other guy.
So I was in a panic trying to keep my sister's head together as we rushed to sew her head back together.

Needless to say...I jerked awake at that point.
And fell back asleep and dreamt different dreams. :)

And that is why
The fox never came home. :)

One Chapter a Night

It was my favorite time of night.
When mom would call out to the rest of the family...or we would go up and beg her. "Is it time to read yet?"
Then we would all pile together either into the parent's bedroom or in the living room.
We'd all stare anxiously at Mom.
Watching as she pulled out the book.
Opened it to where we left off.
And would begin to read.

Almost every night we would do this.
A single chapter would be read...unless we could convince mom to continue on for another chapter.
What did we read you might ask?
Tennis Shoes among the Nephites by Chris Heimerdinger.
We read up to book 9 or 10 of this series.
Chapter by Chapter. Night by night.
It was entertaining.
It was fun.
And it brought our whole family together.
Plus we learned about the gospel in an interesting way.

One chapter at a time we grew closer together.
Anxiously waiting to hear if Jim would survive his journey.
If Gid would come back to us alive.
If the Hawkins family would once again reunite.
It was an hour of anticipation for the family.
And we would often be disappointed if Mom was too sick to read.
Or if we had to stop mid chapter because it was too long.
Or super excited we'd get if the chapter was short enough
That we could read another one. :) lol those were the nights.
How fondly I remember them. ^^
And it reminds me that spending time together as a family
Doesn't need to be as planned out event with prayers and thoughts.
But just a moment where we could relax from the stress of the day.
And be in each other's company. :)

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

We were on a fieldtrip. Basically going on a nature hike.
And our tourguide- the cafeteria cook from Arthur was...less then ecstatic.
Why? Well...I was in Mr. Ratburns class along with the other Arthur characters. (I was D.W.)
And Mr. Ratburn's style of teaching was more...educational then other teachers.
Where we'd learn college level terms and kind had forgotten the 'fun' part of hiking.
We just saw things in the 'medical' terms basically.
And the tourguide..she wanted to make it fun for us.
So that when we saw a caterpillar we didn't go calling it by its fancy prehistoric name.
But we just called it a caterpillar.
As we hiked along we encountered a nice little tourist shop place. It seemed like a mall.
There was a place to buy food like a gas station and other little shops. I hadn't really wanted to buy anything before we finished our journey. So instead I went searching for the restroom.
I found it pretty quickly in a..medieval castle like corridor. From the flickering torches I saw the sign that said men. and one that said Momen. I went into that one. And found....a weird bathroom.
With public toilets right in front of the door in plain sight.
And smaller cubicles with weird sinks in them.
-I eventually realized that they were more for men then women.
I was seriously confused...because I was sure I'd gone in the girls bathroom, not the guys.
So I went to leave...when Binky Barnes walked in.
I didn't want to see him see me in the wrong bathroom so I dashed to the back of the corridor
And laid down in a stall. (it was only about knee high) Hoping he wouldn't come down and see me.
Unfortunately. I was rather noisy with splashing about and accidentally clanging into something.
-i say splashing because it seemed like the bathroom was rather...wet....like their draining system wasn't working well for the sinks leaving tap water everywhere.
Soo...Binky knew someone was there.
And of course...he went to investigate.
He found me.
But to my surprise he didn't tease me for going into the wrong bathroom.
Instead he led me out of the bathroom to find the right one for me.

I never ended up using the bathroom, but we did figure out that their was a third room for women further down the corridor...place so that it felt like it was...a disgrace? Like Women weren't welcome to use the facilities in this place.
Binky ended up taking me to dinner...but it was awkward...
There was actually a thing where the people there didn't like women.
They'd ignore me.
I had to wear a veil type of idea...so that they didn't have to look at me.
And they were really unwilling to let a foreign girl sit at the table and eat food.

I have no idea why
but the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away
And I became myself again.

A Father's Day Poem

Wherefore art the thorns for the rose?
The daring fight between villains and heroes
Whether a princess in distress or a knight to be
My imagination with you went on to fly free

Wherefore art the rays for the sun?
As the battle for freedom is fought and won
My protector and advocate in that time
When I want to step out of the shadows and shine.

Wherefore is the moon for the wolf?
To howl and scream at when things get tough
An ear to listen to when no one else will
A helping hand as I climb the upward hill.

Who therefore are the men for me?
That I will hang with happily
Grateful for them I will always be
My Great Daddoo and Awesome UB

Happy Father's Day UB and Daddoo
And know that I will forever love you!

Done and Gone

Well...I've gone and done it.
Shipped off my laptop so that it can be fixed.
*sniff* Unfortunately it won't be shipped out until Monday...
So its going to sit in its little box for today and tomorrow and who knows how long.
Stuck in the darkness.
All by itself. With only the power cord for company.
Hopefully it doesn't go crazy. ;)

The Dream

Again I was fighting off a bad guy.
This time it was a guy. Reminiscent of Dr. Horrible...a type of scientist...a mad scientist.
(Also bad guy had a bit of a Green Lantern bad guy Influence.)
We were on a big.....map...a flattened version of the universe.
The sun and the planets. (all of them, even pluto) All moving. The planets around the sun.
The planets kept changing in shape. Sometimes as small as tennis balls, sometimes as big as well...a giant blow up ball...but all flat.
And as the planets moved in their orbits around the sun...they would vary. The line they were following would erase as the planet moved over it. Then reappear the second round in a slightly different orbit with the line trailing behind it.
Basically I was fighting the bad guy moving about the plane with the planets underneath us.

Then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.

Extra info
-Dream was Green Lantern influenced because I saw the movie last night and I'm trying not to obsess over it.
-The 'erasing lines' concept of the planet orbits was from watching a scene from a goofy movie where Max erases part of the map to take him to LA instead of lake victoria.

And that is why
the fox never came home. :)
