Are These The Same?

Customers always seem to become weirder during the full moon.

Like weird interactions. Weird reactions. Weird situations.

It's just like the full moon brings out the crazy.

And today was no different, though it took until getting off work to realize that there is a full moon tonight.

In any case.

The day started off with a rather baffling Doordash interaction.

Where there was a Dasher in the store shopping on behalf of the customer.

Which is my least favorite method of Dashers coming into the store because 90% of the time it feels like the Dasher doesn't even try to track down the items themselves. They find the nearest associate and expect them to hold their hand the entire time.

Which we Do. Not. Have. Time. To. Do.

And it gets even more frustrating when it's like "The item is on Aisle 12" and the customer comes back like two minutes later with a "I couldn't find it." and you have to go over there and SHOW THEM it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACE if they would just USE THEIR FREAKING EYES.

Seriously.

I still believe, even 5 years later after the main frustration of the COVID pandemic has passed...that most of Happy Valley is still majorly blind and needs to get their eyes checked.

Case in Point.

First Dasher of the day comes up to me with a bottle of Glandex chews in their hand and a confused look on their face.

At this point idk if another associate had helped them or if they'd been hunting down the product themselves.

But they show me a picture of what they're looking for on their phone. And ask "Is this the same thing?"

The picture on their phone?

Very CLEARLY shows a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEM.

It's a can from the Honest Kitchen Brand that says very clearly on the front of it GOATS MILK.

Glandex and Goats Milk do NOT look REMOTELY THE SAME.

The bottles weren't even the RIGHT COLOR.

Like dude.

The COLOR doesn't match.

The SHAPE doesn't match.

The WORDS don't match.

The BRANDS don't match!

Did you FAIL the matching game in school or did you never play it?

Because dude you failed HARD at this.

Seriously wondered if the Dasher was Stoned or High at that point because it was VERY CLEAR that the items were DIFFERENT. which was WHY the BARCODE wouldn't SCAN on the ITEM. Because the Dashers have to scan the barcodes on their phones to ensure the right item is being picked up and if it doesn't match it will tell you IT DOESN'T MATCH.

Like the Dude was on the right aisle.

But was looking in the WRONG place.

Just...*face palm*

 I don't understand people.

Like yes.

I understand not seeing things right in front of your face. I've done it before and I'll do it again.

But at least I'd look at the right BRAND AREA.

Seriously.

People are weird.

And need to work on their observational and matching skills.

Until you next find these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
