Overlap Yayness!

A long time ago, in a first college year away from home.
I had three classes.
Now at first glance these classes, didn't appear all that similar.
Health, Genetics, Geology.
And yet, upon taking these classes.
I found that all were intertwined.
When I learned about something in one class, the other two would then proceed to talk about the same topic then after.
*head desk*
That was tedious.
Of course I felt pretty smart, already knowing the information.
But, repeating it again and again...is rather boring.

Since that point...excluding the classes that are part of my major...because well...they have to be similar to each other.
I usually have had a few classes that overlap a bit.
The overlapping has decreased as more major classes were taken.
But then, in a burst of usefulness.
This overlapping emerged!
Dun dun dun!
In one of my ASL classes, we actually talked about Anatomy Terms!
Oooo
You can't imagine how giddy I was when I realized.
Hey!
Hey!
I know that!
haha I thought about standing up and saying "Look! Look I know that! Isn't that cool! I learned that in an Anatomy class and now you're learning it here! Haha!"
Then looking to DaBo and saying "Can I help teach please? Please!!"
-I actually enjoyed learning Anatomy terms.
You can bet I was excited this day in class.
Able to focus and everything :D
I even went along with the motions.
Pointing to the area in question with very little hesitation most of the time.

Yep ^^ That was exciting :D lol
Of course...its a Physiology class....soooo its to be expected that medical terms would pop up at some point...but it was still a welcome surprise to have what I learned in class overlap again. :D

Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

It involved Meralto and I moving cars around in our front yard, and me being paranoid I would hit one. I think one of the cars didn't have a brake. I do know one of the cars was a black...umm Hudson Hornet, really fancy and valuable. I can't remember much else. :(

A New Diet

I have figured it out!
A way to diet!

haha... just kidding actually....
But it's somewhat true.

What is this 'diet' you might ask?

It's the "write down everything you eat diet."

Yep.

You read that correctly.

How did one come up with this diet?
I didn't.
DaBo did.
For his class we have a homework assignment.
Yes it involves food and writing.

You see, for a school week -Monday thru Friday
You have to write down:
a) Every thing you eat including the secret stash of chocolate under the bed.
If it goes in your mouth and you swallow...you ate it. Write it down.
b) All the water you drink. -Just plain water. Anything non-water is written under the food category.
c) How much sleep you get. -When you go to bed, when you wake up.
and
d) How much exercise you get. -You get to define what you consider to be exercise.

Now.
C and D aren't that hard. Just look at the clock. Time yourself and go. Look at the clock again when you're done.
B is a little challenging in the fact that I drink most water from a drinking fountain...so I have no idea how to calculate how much water I actually drink....I'm going by 'gulps' right now.
But the food thing....
A.
ugh.
Do you know how annoying it is to have to write down every single thing you eat?
Let me tell you.
It's annoying.
The whole assignment is annoying.
But the A part is most of all.
You see....I'm a muncher.
A grazer.
Eats like a bird.
Basically I tend to snack throughout the day with one bigger meal at some point.

Which is why....I think that having to write down what you eat....
Would be a good diet.
....for the lazy people lol.
I mean....I just kinda stare in the direction of the kitchen.
Vaguely hungry.
But I don't go eat.
Why?
Because then I'd have to write it down!

lol I'm dedicated enough to my homework that I would write down everything I eat and not fudge.
Hence....why I'm sitting here typing this post...
and not finding something to eat.
I don't want to write it down.

So....
I'm going to go get a hot pocket now. ;) haha.

(and write it down)

Yah...I'm mostly complaining because I don't want to have to write down "Ate 5 apple slices"
"Ate a hotpocket" is easier. I don't have to count it....though I do have to write what was in it....
Ugh...this IS going to get tedious. :)

So here it goes! The Writing Food Diet! ;) lol

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

-Sarnic Dirchi

Note: Sarnic does not in any way shape or form or wavy line endorse this sort of diet, said 'diet' is just a homework assignment that Sarnic doesn't want to do. Sarnic in no way shape, form, dream, creative smiley face is going on a diet.

Can They See Them Too?

Okay...
So I had this random (kinda stupid) thought today while watching the superbowl.
Do the people who watch the superbowl...at the superbowl....get to see the commercials the rest of the nation sees while sitting in front of the television to watch the superbowl?
I'm guessing...the answer is no.
Its just a hunch really...since I've been to a couple of games that were aired on TV.
Not Football. It was Hockey.
...and now that I'm writing this...I can't remember if those Hockey games were televised...
But anyway...
I have to wonder what the people at the game actually do...when nothing is happening?
I actually would think...that the game would go much quicker. Fans at the event would already know who won before the people at home would.
Because we get lots of commercials! Yay!
-My favorite part! :D
I mean...sure there are those time out commercials.... and the injury commercials....
hmmm Maybe it does take the same amount of time almost....
I think the fans there still get a bit of a headstart though on knowing who won.
-Random side note. I saw a thing on the news where there was a monkey...ape....primate...who for four years in a row, has picked the winning team for the super bowl ()_()
So yah...I was paying attention to the football game only enough to see who was winning.
The end result. If I remember correctly...The Primate picked correctly! Yay for being right 5/5 times!
Back on subject now.
So, at the games itself...when these time outs and injury things take place...and there isn't really much happening on the field....What do the fans do?
I was thinking that. "What do the fans do?"
And that's why I asked the question above....can the fans see the commercials that the super bowl is famous for having?
I still think no.
After all, in such a huge stadium, it would be hard to make everything loud enough for everyone to hear it....hence the need for microphones and a bit of quiet when making calls.
Soo no. No commercials for those people.
They probably have other entertaining things to do.
They're the 'real fans' of Football.
The dedicated ones who sit and cheer for hours on end with no funny commercials to tide over the boredom of watching people throw a ball back and forth and tackle each other.
Of course...these people aren't bored. (most of them)
They're there for their team!!
Go! Fight! Win!
They don't care about the commercials!
Poor them. lol
They're missing out on half of the event because of that!
;)

I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

There was a singing competition going on and Vocal Point was in the running.
But others weren't wanting them to do well.
And there was a rumor going around that someone in the competition was doing drugs.
Well...I came upon Mc taking a pill.
He'd been convinced that it would help him.
I think the guy was under alot of stress.
But the pill didn't agree with him.
He ended up spitting it out.
Though his saliva had turned blue from this little round pill.
We couldn't let anyone know what Mc had almost done.
It would destroy VP's image.
But the VP group came together, planning to sneak out.
Heading down to the bottom of the skyscraper.
When the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again. :)

Thump, Crackle, Slice

Okay....So it's pretty safe to say....
That when I'm not expecting something....I won't see it.
The most common case of this is when I'm walking down a hallway not consciously thinking about anything and I hear somebody say my name a few times.
Oh...a person I know! It's a person I know!
I'm so sorry I didn't see them!

In other less common areas...
If I'm in a certain area/situation....I will not pick up on things from another area/situation.

For example.
Yesterday.
I was sitting in an ASL Legal class.
You know, getting into the legal mode.
Getting into the sign mode.
And a friend of mine -M.F.-
Turns to me and underneath the table, so DaBo can't see...
He signs real quick "S V W" on a "closed 5" hand shape.
And he gives me this real conspircital look.
I give him a blank one in return.
"What?"
He gives me a blank look and does it again.
SVW.
I couldn't get it.
I didn't recognize the sign, or if it was some legal thing I had never heard of.
That's what I was thinking "What sign is this?" I've never seen it before. :S

Finally M.F. takes pity on me and whispers "I was seeing if you wanted to play Rock Paper Scissors"

()_()
O.O
o.o
ooooh.

He wanted to play a game?!!?
And then I realized...it should have been rather obvious.
Somebody looks at you and places their fist on an open hand.
Duh.
They want to play Rock Paper Scissors.

But due to me being in a Sign Language class.
I totally wasn't thinking of a game.
I was thinking signs.
Legal signs.

*headdesk*

That didn't stop me for trying to make up for my "sign moment"
lol Twice when DaBo turned to the board...
M.F. and I would face off.
Rock Paper Scissors! -Tie
Rock Paper Scissors! -Tie
Rock Paper Scissors! -M.F. won.

Then DaBo turned back to us.
So we had to wait.
But once dear DaBo's back was turned.

Rock Paper Scissors! -Tie
Rock Paper Scissors! -Tie
Rock Paper Scissors! -I won!

then we had to stop as Dabo turned back to us.
lol I nearly burst out laughing at that last one.

Playing games behind DaBo's back.
It was thrilling.
like we were doing something we weren't supposed to.

Unfortunately....I don't know who won :(
We only got to play twice.
But perhaps the next time I sit by M.F.

The game shall begin again!

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.

Enjoy the day!

The Dream

We were in a restaurant of sorts. That was on a pier. It stuck out into the ocean in such a way that it seemed like it was surrounded by water. I was there with a few other friends. To eat and such. And as we were finishing up. and because we were done, the restaurant began to sink.
There was one girl with longer brown hair that looked a little like my roommate Kah, and her boyfriend who looked a little bit like Vocal Point's Jake. She was talking as they were walking around with the water up to their necks. And the boy 'Jake' took the moment and floated out a box to the girl. She turned around and saw it and he proposed to her then and there.
Then it was war! We were having a snowball fight with another group of people, but their snowballs were more dangerous. It was like we were in a war zone! They had grenades and bullets and gun powder that would explode upon contact with anything. While my side...just had snow balls.
I had the same sequence of this snowball fight twice in a row. The first time I couldnt' see where the snowballs were coming from, it was my side fighting the unknown side with our own snowballs. But then the view widened and it was all our family fighting each other.
Not to kill.
It actually was a training exercise. O.o

Then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again. :)

Teeth, Teeth, Oh a Cavity

"Does this feel normal?"

I stare up at the dentist's blue eyes and think to myself:

"Well Gee...I don't know...my mouth is all numb and blood has been rushing to my head for the past hour or two and I can't feel my tongue and my lips and cheeks are all numb.....and you want me to tell you if something feels normal?!"

Instead I obediently bite down on the strip of paper.
No. Right side is too high.
Great! now left side is too high.
ah huh ah huh no Right side is too high again.

haha the Dentist kept giving me a look of disbelief. "Are you sure the right side is too high again?"
...Uh no. It's just MY mouth. I use it every day to you know....do stuff. I don't recall YOU being able to USE my mouth for any other purpose then to 'practice' fixing teeth.

You know....
Its kind of weird. It seems like Doctors are eager to tell you that nothing is wrong with you....
While Dentists seem eager to tell you that there is something wrong with you.

I think there's just a big conspiracy thing going on here with these dentist and tooth related people.
Does Fluorite, Flossing, and Toothpaste really help keep your teeth healthy?
Or is it just a big falsehood designed to give the Dentists something to do?

I'm beginning to think that somewhere in there....somebody is lying.
How can one brush their teeth and floss everyday....
and end up with SEVEN cavities? (not me, different person)
The excuse? The teeth are really 'porus' or something, they 'hold onto sugar and....well cavities are the end of the story.'

I don't buy it.
Sometimes I think that they just go through the records and finances and say "We can give these people some cavities. They can handle the blow to their finances."
Or perhaps during their 'cleaning checks' they do stuff in specific areas of the tooth to ensure that a cavity will be created the next time a person goes in.

And why is it....that the teeth they pick to 'fix' are the teeth that 'don't' hurt? Those teeth feel perfectly normal in most cases....while others ache and stuff....

Perhaps teeth have movable senses...false pain....mirror pain....what one tooth is feeling, a different tooth will take up the pain and start to ache even though its perfectly fine.

In any case....
While I like the dentist....as a person...
the profession is something I don't like.
At least they're eager to tell you something is wrong.
I wish doctors would pay more attention to that.

But still....my dentist...needs to learn to not be so 'hard' on the needles.
My mouth is going to ache for a few days from where he 'shot' me.
:( Not fun.

I'll be watching the leaves.

Enjoy the day!

It's a Rock

How can you tell the diamonds from the agates?
Both are awesome rocks.
But....when you're looking for diamonds....
Should you pick up a few agates along the way?
Even if you know the agates are agates, should you take the time to pick one up?
Give it attention, care for it, shine it up?
Or should you remain aloof from the agates.
And wait for that diamond?
Or the possibility of a diamond seen in the distance?
Its hard to know.
Because what if the 'diamond' never comes?
You would have missed out on all those agates.
That aren't as shiny or glittery as diamonds.
But they have their own random quirks, shapes, and colors to like.
And perhaps one of those agates, was actually a diamond enclosed in agate rock?
Or by picking up the agate you would find the diamond underneath it.
It's hard to know.
And it's hard to decide...if you should enjoy the agate while you pick it up.
Or...if one should be shallow and look for that 'perfect diamond' and moan about picking up the agate....yah that doesn't sound fun.
For now, I should enjoy the agate.
And not worry about the potential diamond in the future.

After all...I chose to pick it up.

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream

It seemed like one of those 'need to get away, win the game, chaos' dreams.
But I can only remember near the end of it.
We were at a building...where it was like a 'sea lion' zoo place...but there were cats all over the place.
It seemed like other people didn't like the cats. But I liked playing with them.
there were mostly black cats and tabby cats/kittens, but there was also a kitten or two that was a bright pink/purple stripe color. the kitten was so sweet and though I liked playing with the others I wanted to take this one home. But the parents weren't having it.
Instead...we ended up having a bunch of....door hanging things... paint can...leather lids painted different colors. Those weren't as satisfying. (I'd looked at an article about creative 'do not disturb signs earlier) So we left without the kittens :(
And ended up in an area...with a bunch of trees but we were on the edge and there was a house/condo place near by. Brandi and Jarrod -from Storage Wars- were working on building a...sort of tree house for the tree kids. Two older daughters and a couple of younger siblings. (idk how many kid for sure) We were trying to slip the tree house over the the trunk of the tree (never saw the top of it) so that the kids would have a place to play in. But the building wasn't working and we couldn't get the trunk upright. We finally did.
But somehow the part around the tree house had been....widdled down. shaved away due to all the sliding and twisting and such. So the tree was very thin there and I couldn't see how the tree house was actually staying up. Brandi and Jarrod seemed to consider it a job well done and went to work on stringing up some sort of line involving a cake for their wedding.... but it was between two decks or something around the house. (from some cake show)

Then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again!

A Quick Stop

I can't decide.
Whether or not I should be mad.
Mad that I was late for class this morning.
I hate being late for class.
But some of it was my fault.
Not all of it.
Sometimes White Ninjas just get in the way and things go slowly.

It was a typical start out to a day...a slower day.
Kikay and I had decided to drive to school today since things were going slowly.
I actually had wanted to walk, Kikay wanted to drive. We drove.
So there we were pulling out of apartment parking lot. 15 minutes before class started.
And across the street from us I spotted a girl.
Looking cold.
Because it was cold.
So others tell me....I don't really get cold.
And the poor girl was walking to school in short sleeves.
Even for this winterless winter we're having...that was just begging for a:
HIT ME WITH THE WIND AND COLD! Thing.
Soooo I did the natural thing....well what I'm trying to make a natural thing.
I had Kikay roll down the window Our car doesn't have automatic windows that roll down by themselves.
And ask the girl if she needed a ride.
Yes. She most certainly did!
haha :) She was grateful we gave her a nice warm car to ride in instead of a nice long sidewalk to walk on.
Small world. Kikay actually knew her.
So we pulled away...only I saw a guy in front of us also walking to school.
Well....I had already stopped once. Sooo I stopped again. And offered him a ride.
He gladly accepted too. :D
Was he happy or feeling awkward he was in a car full of girls I wonder....
 So we were off!
And unfortunately they weren't needing to be dropped off where Kikay and I were going...so I made a slight detour...which just involved me turning into a different parking lot first before heading to the parking lot that we needed to go to.
By this time...class was basically going to start in 5 minutes.
Kikay saw this too, and knew that we'd be parking in outerdarkness.
Soo I dropped her off.
And went by my lonesome to park and then...
speedily walk my way to the Institute.
Why is it, that whenever you're in a hurry that's when you see people you know and wish you could stop and talk to them?
I was only 3 minutes late. :S
>.< Still late by clock time.
:D Early by Institute class start time :D
lol Class hadn't officially started yet.
Sooo I was on TIME!! :) Yes!

Thus...in the end.
I'm not really mad.
Since I got to class on time.
I just don't like being made late....when I could have been early.

Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
