This semester for kicks and giggles.
I decided to take a Dance class.
Ballroom Dance the beginning level.
I mostly decided to take it because I've watched Dancing with the Stars.
And at one point...my school's dance team was able to participate in the show when they had different college teams verse each other.
I was really impressed at how well they danced. And I wanted to have a chance to
learn how to do more then a 'side to side sway step.'
And this was my chance. :)
It was a one credit class and I had one credit free. Sooo I took it. :) lol.
And its been rather fun. :) I've learned steps!!
Now...my problem is....there's nobody nearby me that knows the steps. :(
So therefore...still have nobody to dance more then the sway step at dances with. :(
lol Oh well.
Anyway...it was...a couple of days ago.
I was showing one of the guys how to do his steps.
And he commented that I must have taken this class....to learn patience.
That is a rather interesting concept.
Taking a dance class to learn patience.
Its rather true actually.
You have the spectrum of dancers. Those that are good....and those that....
well your feet hurt alot afterwards. lol.
Anywho. If you're one of the better dancers, paired with those dancers that tend to step on toes.
Yah. I could see why patience would be a virtue in that class lol :)
I think he was impressed that I would go over the steps again and again with him and show him how to move again and again.
Perhaps....people don't have alot of patience with him so he's surprised when people spend more time with him to help him improve his dancing steps. (or other classes where he might struggle...idk I only have him in my dance class....I think...I've found a couple of my dance mates in my other classes...which is rather weird. lol)
Anywho. I took it as a compliment.
That I was patient in helping him out. :)
I'm glad I was able to help him. I told him that that wasn't my reason. That I had had patience
But...that thought has stayed in my mind for a bit.
That in order to learn Patience, you can go take a dance class.
And I was thinking today.
"You know if I took a dance class to learn and practice a particular attribute....I think I would be learning how to be a better teacher."
I already know how to be patient. ;) lol when I choose to be ;) lol.
But teaching....I think I can always use the opportunity to practice 'teaching' skills.
Because I feel like....being able to teach is a....low for me.
I probably don't portray it that way.
But often when I encounter people who....aren't on the same wavelength as me...
I think that I come off as....condescending and unhelpful.
"You don't know that? You thought that was hard?"
So I think the opportunity to go to dance and teach others some of the steps has helped me somewhat in my 'bedside manner.' so that I'm easier to approach, and that I can help other people out.
Or give them tips on what they can work on so that they don't miss a step or something.
That it makes both of us feel good. If I do it in the right manner.
That doesn't mean I know everything about dancing lol.
I can get the steps down...but positioning, heels/toes and such...I struggle with.
But hey. :) I know the steps lol
And because I know the steps. I can help others out. :)
And that is what I learned from Dance class.
A few tips on leadership and teaching.
That I will hopefully be able to improve upon when the next teaching moment comes. :)
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves!
Enjoy the day!

The Dream
I was doing the regular preparatory stuff that needs to be done whenever Tom drops by to visit.
And I went into the other room.
And suddenly....I was spouting out blood from my mouth and nose.
My only thought was....that my Inferior Vena Cava....must have burst.
I was trying to prevent blood from going everywhere.
Especially on my sister's stuff...since I was in her room.
And I went back out to the main room where my family was.
And I was given a pill to swallow.
And then I basically got better....
And we were suddenly in a pet shop looking at pets.
And then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.
This was a somewhat odd dream...because basically it seemed like the vein in my throat (it looked kinda like the esophagus) and burst. Funnily enough...the Inferior Vena Cava...isn't in the throat...its down by the belly button.
I think this dream was brought on by worry.
My body has been acting rather....injured....lately.
Random areas of my body have been hurting...for no reason that I can see....
and I think its bugging me that I'm not really sure whats wrong.
So therefore I dreamt that one of my veins/arteries burst....
Kinda odd...
But that
Is why the fox never came home. :)

Continious Watching
They are watching you.
When you don't expect it.
They are watching you.
Actions in the past.
Will effect potential in the future.
Because they are constantly watching you.
I was told yesterday, that an event that I thought only was set into motion a couple of weeks -to a month ago.
Has actually been almost set in Stone.
Since the beginning of the year.
Now, I knew that there had been possibilities. Because the opportunity given to me this time around.
Has been offered before, without me making the cut.
But it did surprise me.
That I had been in the considerations for so long.
I think I preferred my oblivion.
And I can be notorious oblivious to things around me...that might signal opportunities.
That I might or might not choose to take.
Still.
I find it rather...interesting.
That I have basically been observed
in my actions, doings, conversations.
For so long.
And it makes me glad.
That I have been acting about the same way...acting consistently
For that period of time. :)
And that I didn't do anything stupid to have the opportunity pass me by. :)
Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

The Dream
I was looking at a liver. And I was deciding that the lobes were upside down.
(there was more...but that was all I remember.)

The Assigned Paper
Its odd, how when I have no obligations, no grade to meet, no teacher to meet.
I have a really easy time writing things down.
I can go on for pages and pages and pages.
-So this blog can attest too...though it does sometimes take me a bit to figure out a topic to talk about.
However, I do end up with something to talk about.
Because I'm not required to do anything.
Its by free choice that I choose to write everyday and such.
Yet when I have a paper due soon....like Tomorrow.
I just can't bring myself to write it.
Its like I'm rebelling.
I don't want to write the paper, because I don't want to. It doesn't have my interest.
And until that paper gets my interest.
Well....it takes forever to write.
I end up spending hours doing useless things.
Like playing endless games of Minesweeper or Solitaire trying to psych myself up and prepare myself to go and write that paper. Or I have to give myself a reward system.
Like...not being able to write this blog until my paper is done with.
(Yes, I actually did finish the homework that's due tomorrow before writing this. lol)
Still. I waste hours upon hours in a day.
Just because I don't want to write a paper.
Half of my problem comes from the idea that the concept doesn't interest me.
I'm being forced to do what I really don't want to do.
- Its worse for papers where I have to come up with my own topic. At least when I'm given a topic to talk about I have presentation. When I don't have a topic...well the writing purpose can take even longer...because I'm dithering about what I want to write. (I especially hate this topic for research papers that are open ended within a certain frame. Soo many choices, I just wish the teacher would give me a topic and set me loose. Then at least I'll have the bit in my mouth even if I don't have a rider.
But another thing that prevents me from writing quickly...is that I'm not sure what to say. I don't know how to word things correctly.
I admit the hardest part I find about writing a paper.
Is just starting the stupid thing.
That's why I intensely dislike writing essays.
Because I need to have a good introductory paragraph.
And it takes me F-O-R-E-V-E-R to come up with something I can work with for the rest of the paper.
I know that if I just buckle down and disconnect myself from my 'procrastinator' tools, that my papers might actually get written faster. Ha. Like that ever happens. More often then not if I start a paper and I then go to my procrastinator tools its so I can gather my thoughts and think about what I want to say next.
Who knows. Perhaps I just need to change how I approach writing these papers.
:) Or I need to be assigned papers that are longer then one page. It seems to be more difficult for me to write when I know I only have to write one page. Because....in case it hasn't been noticeable... ;) lol I tend to blather on and on.
And being restricted to one page....basically means that I have to restrict my thinking style. And I guess that's the main reason why assigned papers are so hard for me to write.
I hate being restricted in my thinking. In having to 'pair down my words' so that I can get everything I want to say on one page without it sounding half complete or choppy.
I hate restrictions >.< lol. I like it when its a minimum instead of a maximum
Because if I so choose. I can go as far above the minimum as I want.
The maximum is harder to deal with.
Still. I do find it fun to write.
even if it is an essay on some seminar or a summary of a book I read.
I just need to convince myself of that ;) lol.
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.

The Wannabe Chef Experimental Ideas
I think if I had a willing group of lab rats.
Money to spare.
and all the implements of cooking needed in my kitchen.
That I would have a blast trying out different recipes of my own design.
Sadly, I have not the time nor the group of lab rats to test out my food ideas.
And it seems a shame waste to experiment on food...that might not get eaten because it might not taste good.
Here are a couple of ideas I have....that on hindsight....probably won't work at all. But it was an intriguing idea at the time.
The first. Was having a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) as well as pepperoni and cheese on toasted bread.
-It wasn't that original, I think Subway has a sandwich similar in style.
But the idea seemed...unappetizing to me. Mostly because I didn't think pepperoni would taste good with Miracle Whip and Mustard and I wasn't sure bacon and pepperoni would go together. Yah...plus I had no lettuce. :( Soo while the idea seemed great in the beginning...after thinking about it....it really didn't seem like it would taste that good.
I think the idea would be similar to when I put pepperoni in with Ramen noodles a year or so ago. While it was edible, it was not delicious and I haven't tried to have it since.
The second idea, which I might try once I figure out how is to have...Enchilada Steak.
Where I get some steak and I season it with Enchilada sauce and serve it on a bed of rice that has been seasoned as well...in the Spanish style. Not sure how to do Spanish rice...but I'm willing to figure it out lol :)
My hang up here....besides not having half of the ingredients....is that I don't know if Enchilada sauce would work with a nice steak. I know it works with beef and chicken and beans because those meats are often served in the enchilada style. But would it work with a full steak. not something cut into pieces? Will the rice work with it? Perhaps if I just use Enchilada sauce for both....
I don't know.
But there is a glimpse inside my mind of some food ideas I'd love to try....when I'd have more then one person (besides myself) to test it out on. :) lol.
Perhaps this summer will yield more results once school is done with and I'll have more time to make the time to prepare food. :D lol.

The Dream
I was in a dark room with a group of other people. (5 or 6 total)
We were tied up and not likely to go anywhere soon.
I was looking at one of the girls. She had pale skin and black hair and I noticed that her arm was glowing...
she had a black mark that looked like an arrow...that was twisting and moving.
I told the others, but they couldn't see it.
Only I could see it apparently.
Or only I could see it soo clearly.
It tended to fade in and out. Clear one moment then gone the next.
Then...a creature of some sort...black in color came off of her arm by her direction and went up the wall over the ceiling and attacked me.
In the end...I had a green neon glowing arrow on my own arm.
Other people also had arrows in different colors, Red and Yellow, maybe purple.
I know that Red and Yellow survived. But other colors...other people weren't strong enough to survive the change. Because apparently the arrow instigated...a kind of shape shifting. Like you could shift into a wolf.
But I was strong enough to survive.
I was with my best friend ( a guy) and we were arguing on a back porch. He had darker skin and black hair (he reminded me of a young Michael Jackson) I think he was jealous of my arrow.
I ended up pushing him and he fell over the railing and landed on the car below.
But I....wasn't concerned. I pushed him then left and never looked back.
The fall ended up 'killing the best friend" though I didn't know that.
however. He wasn't dead. He was given the chance to live again.
His skin turned a shade of green and his hair was a bit more stringy and stuck out in all directions.
There was a guy -that I couldn't see- who recited a...spell...a set of conditions.
Basically what they said was that by night. The best friend would have to obey the voice. But during the day. It would seem like he was just himself. Not dead, just like any other normal being, but totally oblivious to the fact that the voice now basically 'owned' his soul.
So by day he would be human.
And by night he'd be this green Frankenstein type of zombie creature.
(He was basically a zombie now....at least by night. by day I would notice nothing was wrong.)
And my goal was to try and break him from that curse.
And then the unholy tones of daylight pulled me away....
and I became myself again.
Extra Info.
-This is the first time I've dreamt of a 'zombie' concept.

Spirit Come and Let Leave
There was an Institute Recognition tonight in my area.
For those students who had taken enough Institute classes
To receive different certificates of achievement and diplomas.
I was there to be one of those people.
But I was also asked to give the opening prayer.
And that is....a big responsibility.
Because I have decided that the opening prayer
Is a way to officially invite the spirit to come and participate in the proceedings.
I mean. The spirit could be there before the opening prayer.
Lured in by the prelude music.
But I think that the spirit is officially brought in when the opening prayer is said.
And when the closing prayer comes about.
I think that it could mean that the spirit can stick around. Or the spirit could leave because the proceedings are now over.
In either case...
The opening prayer has a bit more impact to me after tonight on how it can help out the activity that follows.
Perhaps when I'm asked to give the closing prayer for a bigger event in the future...it will also have an impact on me as well. A "Until we meet again" type of goodbye.
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!

(Sorry guys for not having a dream thing for the past little while. I do have dreams. But for some reason once I get vertical...the dream just drains out of my head and I can't get it back. :( Some of them have been awesome, others have been rather ordinary. Just know I have been dreaming. I just am left with vague impressions that can't be written down. :( Guess i wake up at the wrong moment to remember. :) lol)

Spooky Aloneness
Its kind of funny...
But I have this tendency to watch TV shows.
About ghosts and mysteries and murders
When.....
I'm alone in the house
Either literally by being the only one home.
Or figuratively by being the only one awake at home.
I never really stop to watch a show like "The Haunting"
When there are other people about.
No.
I watch the spooky and the thrilling...
all by myself.
I admit it gives me a bit of paranoia after watching shows about people killing, or ghosts haunting.
Little noises have me thinking that someone is waiting around the next corner.
Perhaps that's part of the fun of watching. :)
The thrill of wondering 'Will I be next."
That's the closest I'll ever get to watching a thriller movie methinks. :) lol
Until you next read these words;

Step Step Splash
I don't understand why people like the rain.
I mean I like the rain.
I really do.
But when I have to walk in it....
I really don't like the rain lol. :)
Perhaps people like the rain...because they don't need to walk in it.
Sure Snow means that its 'really' cold outside, but at least
most of the time your feet stay dry as you walk places...
unless you hit some slush...then its the same as rain.
But the rain.
Ugh.
It was annoying today. :) lol.
I needed to walk...and by the time I got to my destination.
My shoes were wet. And that meant...
yep my socks were wet too.
It was funny.
I could feel the moisture starting to soak into my sock.
It started on the ball of my foot between the second and third toes
Then it was felt on the opposite side of my foot...
and yah. The first half of my foot was soaked.
At least the right foot was.
The left foot lasted for a bit longer.
But then it too got wet. :(
Yah...the rain was nice and all.
:) I like it...just not having to walk around with damp soaks all day long. :)
But I know...spring is finally here.
How do I know this?
The potato bugs (rollypollies) were out the other day in high numbers.
-I discovered this the other day I walked to school ;) lol.
Today in the rain.
There were no potato bugs.
but there were lots and lots of worms.
The insects have arrived.
That means.
Winter is leaving.
And wet spring is coming. :)
Its going to make walking to and from school more interesting.
Because I get the opportunity to practice my nimbleness as I walk.
To avoid stepping on any of the worms and potato bugs.
:) its a fun little game. :) And I feel good about myself knowing that I didn't squish anything today. :)
Until you next see these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
