That One Particular Person

We encounter many different types of people as we go about our daily lives.
There are the flakes, the whiners, the perfectionists, the always cheerful, the introverted, the controlling, as well as many others.

Some types of people you can put up with easier then others.
But what about those people where you can't stand them after a short amount of time?
How do you deal with those people? The ones that drive you bonkers, and you don't look forward to seeing them after a while?
Do you avoid them? Bluntly cut off the friendship, or grin and bear it?

Today Pres. Packer said that the solution was to think. "What if they were your son, your daughter?"

How would you treat a child, even if they do bug you to death?

I think its more of a tolerance thing. Endure it. Deal with it. Children aren't perfect. Yet you tolerate their mistakes, their actions more then people your own age. Why is that?

Now, thinking of everybody as your child...isn't a good idea. mostly because people would think you were talking down to them.
No, I think its more of a 'love everybody' type of idea even though its kind of cliche.
Tolerate people. Love them for their faults, but notice them more for their strengths. Look past their weaknesses and see the 'good' in people.

What if they were your son or daughter? You wouldn't treat them less then anybody else would you?
Find ways to showcase what you like in a person. If you need to change the situations you find yourself in with that person. Do so. Its better to have a friend instead of an enemy.

Until you next see these words;
Enjoy the Day!
