- Precious children of God come to us with believing hearts. They are full of faith and receptive to feelings of the Spirit. They exemplify humility, obedience, and love. They are often the first to love and the first to forgive.
Walter F. Gonzalez -Followers of Christ
- "He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." Followers of Christ pattern their lives after the Savior to walk in the light.
- We are not alone. Christ will assist us. His tender mercies will make us mighty under any circumstance.

- "No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude, and humility. ... It is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire."
- During His mortal life Christ chose to experience pains and afflictions in order to understand us. Perhaps we also need to experience the depths of mortality in order to understand Him and our eternal purposes.
- "Healing blessings come in many ways, each suited to our individual needs, as known to Him who loves us best. Sometimes a 'healing' cures our illness or lifts our burden. But sometimes we are 'healed' by being given strength or understanding or patience to bear the burdens placed upon us."
Quentin L. Cook -LDS Women Are Incredible!
- Women are incredible!
- God placed within women divine qualities of strength, virtue, love, and the willingness to sacrifice to raise future generations of His spirit children.
- Women of all faiths "believe more fervently in God" and attend more religious services than men do. "By virtually every measure they are more religious."
- Our women are not incredible because they have managed to avoid the difficulties of life--quite the opposite. They are incredible because of the way they face the trials of life.

Henry B. Eyring -Opportunities to Do Good
- The Lord regularly sends wake-up calls to all of us. Sometimes it may be a sudden feeling of sympathy for someone in need.
- All of us have been touched with feelings of sympathy for others we don't even know.
- The principles at the foundation of the Church welfare program are not for only one time or one place. They are for all times and all places.
- I have learned that the way to have a surplus is to spend less than I earn.
- "You cannot give yourself poor in this work."
