Boxes VS. Books

One of the hardest thing about moving.
Is packing stuff into boxes.
But not only putting everything in a box.
It's all about putting everything into a box and being able to pick it up and carry it afterwards.
Putting everything into a box and being able to lift it without all the contents falling out of the bottom. :S

It's harder than it looks.
Especially when it involves packing boxes.
Honestly, it would be so simple to just stuff everything into one box.
But....books have a weight to them.
And it would be like lifting a small car if I tried to lift five shelves worth of hardback books.
:S

So it's a matter of dividing it out, spreading it between multiple boxes, and then finding lighter things to stuff into the boxes with the books so that you can still carry it, and don't end up carrying a half empty box around when moving.

It's a trial and error thing.
I packed up five boxes of books.
Only three of them managed to make the journey to the new place without the books falling out the bottom.

But hey, that's good odds for me. :) Three boxes successfully moved. Two boxes that needed to be reorganized and lightened.
Not bad. Not bad at all.

Of course, I still have a million other things that I need to move about.
But this was a start.
And a good reminder....
That I need to go slightly lighter when putting stuff in boxes. :) lol
