Bumper to Bumper

Rush hour traffic is always interesting to drive in.
I mean....with all the advances that we've had in technology.
I'd think that we would have figured out a system where there wouldn't be rush hour traffic by now.
That we'd be able to drive to wherever we want to get to at the appropriate speeds.
No more of this stop and go traffic.

However....it's probably not that surprising that traffic gets bad.
Because there is one thing you can't really control.
Human Error.

People make mistakes, and things happen.

Rush hour could be triggered by something as simple as someone stepping on their brakes for some reason for a half second.
While others can be bigger, like...a car accident.

It was interesting to consider as I made the drive up to HomeTown.
I'd gotten stuck in the rush hour traffic again.
In the usual spots really.
There are two main zones where traffic can slow down to a crawl before picking up again.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder if it's just the curves in the road that slows down traffic...
But this time, the two slow downs seemed to be caused by accidents of a sort.
One was just finishing up, so I don't know for sure if it was an accident, even though I saw a car and tow truck on the side of the road.... There weren't any other signs of an accident...so they were either cleaned up, or it was just a stalled out car on the side of the road.
The next slow section was caused by a car in the middle lane of traffic being stopped as well with hazards flashing.
Again, I drove by too quick to see if it was an accident where one car had hit another, or if that car had had some sort of issue with a tire, engine, or who knew what else and couldn't move....

In any case.....
Rush Hour.
It's probably not something that's going to disappear anytime soon unless all the cars become self-driving cars lol. Once Human Error is taken out....there is probably a higher chance of less problems....

But it definitely seems like a fun game to pass the time. "What caused this bout of slow downs." And seeing if I can find a cause before the slow down disappears....

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
