190th Annual General Conference Highlights -Saturday Sessions

Saturday Morning

Russell M. Nelson

  • Be good global citizens and do all you can to limit the spread of Covid-19.
  • If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear.
  • Also crucial is our need to fill our spiritual selves with faith, truth, and testimony.
  • Stand in holy places and be not moved.
  • We are to seek in every way that we can, to hear Jesus Christ, who speaks to us through the power and ministering of the Holy Ghost.
  • We should commence on a lifelong quest to hear him.
M. Russell Ballard

  • There can be many physical, mental, and emotional challenges to starting over.
  • My soul was filled with love and for many days I could rejoice with great joy. The Lord was with me.
  • Thy shalt have the power to escape the hand of thine enemies.
  • We have overcome the World by Love.
  • We should always remember the price that Joseph, Hyrum, and so many others paid to establish the church so that you and I could have and enjoy the many blessings and revealed truths we have today.
  • You can come to know God through your suffering.
  • Go Forward. Not Backwards. Courage. Go on and on to Victory.
  • The Savior is pleased when we offer him our hearts in righteousness.
James R. Rasband

  • Where would I turn for peace without the Doctrine of Christ? Without the Book of Mormon?
  • Christ has atoned for all our sins and paid the price that Justice required.
  • Those who have been harmed can be healed and made whole through Christ's atoning sacrifice.
  • The Savior's Atonement heals as a Free gift to those who are willing to seek it out.
  • All God's children will be given the opportunity with unobscured vision to follow Him and the Great Plan of Happiness.
  • The Savior will mend all that we have broken. He will mend us. If we turn to him.
  • The Savior has the power to mend what we can't fix, but he does expect us to do what we can to fix what we can fix.

Joy D. Jones

  • We have a divine errand from the Lord. And our faithful, unique contributions are vital.
  • A Woman's influence can be ten-fold today as compared to more tranquil times.
  • The Lord loves Effort. Because Effort brings rewards that can't come without it. (Pres Nelson)
  • We are always progressing. Even in the next life we will still be progressing.
  • God doesn't expect perfection today.
  • Turn to the Scriptures to receive the Wisdom to Act.
  • Receive the Holy Ghost. Learn Much. Lay aside the things of the world. Seek for better. Keep the covenants of God.
  • The Spirit helps us to determine which work to focus on today.
  • We Listen. We Act.
  • We all seek God's power in our lives.
Neil L. Andersen
  • From time to time God powerfully reassures us that he knows us. Loves us. And is blessing us specifically.
  • God does actually hear and answer our prayers.
  • There are times when spiritual light goes down like fire, illuminating our soul.
  • Maybe you have received an answer to your prayers, but haven't noticed it because you were expecting some grand sign instead of the still small voice.
  • We can Hear Him, because of the Blessing of the Savior's Atonement.
  • Ask yourself during this Conference: Did God send a Message Meant Just for Me?
  • God knows us. Loves us. And has sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to Help Us return Home.
  • Angels have not ceased to minister unto us.
  • Embrace your sacred memories. Believe them. Write them down. Share them. Trust that they come to you from your Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son.
Douglas D. Holmes
  • Strive to be Better Together.
  • To effectively serve others, we must see them through Heavenly Father's eyes. Only then we can comprehend his love for them.
  • What will matter most, is what others will learn from you about who they really are and who they can become.
  • Helping others understand their true identities and purposes can be one of the greatest gifts we can give.
  • The Word of God is Spiritual Power. It is Truth and Light.
  • When we choose to repent, we choose to change, we allow ourselves to be transformed into better versions of ourselves.
  • We must choose repentance for ourselves. The gospel can't be Forced into our hearts. We have to choose to do what is right.
  • Goals are simply a tool that help us connect to Heaven.
  •  We all want to live a life of meaning. We desire a cause. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest cause in the world.
  • Only the Gospel will bring joy, love, and happiness to the Human Family.
Henry B. Eyring
  • Inspiration has come to us through wonderful messages and beautiful music.
  • The Restoration is ongoing.
  • God will lift each of us so that we may rise to meet spiritual challenges and opportunities.
  • Go forward. Unite our energies for the upbuilding of the Kingdom.
  • We as a people will become more united among increasing conflict. We will be gathered in the spiritual strength of groups and families, filled with the gospel light.
  • We can receive continuing revelation. The Holy Ghost can be our constant companion, constantly giving us light and peace as the world becomes darker.
  • Use Prayers of Faith to obtain Continuous Revelation.
  • Always Remember Him.
  • Your Prayers are Important.
  • Our parts may be small in the Restoration, but Satan will still do his best to convince us to stop praying, to not do the work, to fall away from the Lord's path.
  • God Can Not Lie.
  • Have Faith in Christ.
  • Answers come. Blessings are received. There is peace and joy even in hard times when we pray in faith.
Saturday Afternoon

Dallin H. Oaks -Sustaining of Church Officers

Kevin R. Jergensen -Church Audit Report 2019

Ulisses Soares
  • Take away the Book of Mormon and the Revelations and where is our Religion?
  • The power of the Book of Mormon isn't due to it's history, but it's ability to touch the heart and mind of those who read it.
  • Ponder in your hearts, and then ask God in faith in the name of Christ if the Book of Mormon is true.
  • The Book of Mormon is the keystone that sustains faith in Jesus Christ and in His Gospel.
  • The Book of Mormon can be a shield to the adversary who attempts to weaken our faith.
John A. McCune
  • God will be your support and lead you through your afflictions.
  • We are often required to do difficult things, that if attempted alone may be overwhelming and impossible...and yet we have Christ who will provide support, comfort, and peace to help us through our trials.
  • Christ is Joy.
  • Through the gift of the Spirit we can be fully prepared to accept any outcome.
  • Not every trial we face will have the end result we hope for.
  • There may be times where the only Hope we have is in our Savior, Jesus Christ.
  • Come onto Christ.
  • As we labor with Christ, our deepest most focused efforts should take place in our own homes.
  • Our ability to help others come or return to Christ will largely be determined by our own influence on them and the path of the Gospel that we walk.
Gerald Causse
  • Christ invites all to come unto him with open arms.
  • The Atonement of Jesus Christ is a Free Gift offered to all those who have live, who are living, and who will live on the Earth.
  • Because of Christ, all of God's children, born on this Earth, regardless of their righteousness will have their bodies and souls reunited and will again be presented before God.
  • Lives can be changed through faith in Jesus Christ and in his Atonement.
Dale G. Renlund
  • By considering Their kindness, our perspective and understanding is enlarged.
  • Sometimes the answers to our prayers come to us in an unexpected and sometimes unwanted ways that we didn't plan for.
  • Everytime we use, benefit from, or think of our gifts, we should think of the generosity and compassion of those who gave to us.
  • Go and remember the great things God has done for you.
  • I do put my Trust in Him.
  • A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit I will put in you.
  • Even new hearts can be prone to wander, we must fight every day to stay on the right path.
  • We need to remember that Salvation and Exaltation came at a Great Cost.
  • All good things come from Jesus Christ.
  • I don't think God is insulted when we forget him. I think he's deeply disappointed that we're missing out on the blessings he could give us.
  • The Savior loves to Restore what you cannot Restore. He loves to heal wounds that you cannot heal. He loves to heal what is broken. He loves to permanently mend even shattered hearts.
Benjamin M. Z. Tai
  • For us to become who we need to be, it is essential to know what to do, and do what we know.
  • As we desire to believe and ponder the teachings in our hearts we can ask in Faith if what we've learned is true.
  • I am here. And I Know where you Are. Just do your Best and I will take care of the Rest.
  • The Savior will continue to forgive us so long as we continue to repent.
  • If you focus more on the new habits you wish to develop, you tend to focus less on the habits you wish to get rid of.
Gary E. Stevenson
  • The prophet looks over all the Temples to ensure they are to the Lord's Standards.
  • The location chosen for the SLC Temple is on good compact ground.
  • Sometimes you need to start at the foundation in order to provide a good defense for the rest of the building.
  • We need to view this time as a time of Renewal instead of a time of Closure.
  • What does my foundation look like? How strong are they. How well can they hold my testimony?
  • The best defense against the trials of life reside in our spiritual foundations.
  • God is in the Details.
  • Faith is what can get you through the dark times. Having faith lets me believe that there will be light again.
  • The future of this life may be unknown, but my faith is not.
Saturday Evening

Gerrit W. Gong
  • In Me ye might have peace. In the world you might have tribulation. But be of good Cheer because I have overcome the world.
  • In this life we begin at the beginning and with practice and time we grow and improve.
  • God lives not just for some, but for all.
  • Christ came to pay a debt he didn't owe for us who owed the debt but couldn't pay.
  • In these times we can learn much of God's goodness and our divine potential for God's love to grow within us.

Laudy R. Kaouk

  • Regardless of your circumstances you can Always have access to Priesthood Blessings.
  • Don't hesitate to ask for a blessing in your difficult moments. It's then when we often need guidance the most.
  • Turn to your patriarchal blessing when you are in need to guidance or in need of comfort. As it will help you see beyond your earthly perspective.
  • God will provide answers and open doors at exactly the right moment when you need it most.
  • When we put God first and have Faith in him he will lead us through our own wilderness.
  • God is cheering for us. He wants us to return to him.
  • God knows what we need and when we need it.

Enzo S. Petelo

  • We are beloved children of God and he has a work for us to do.
  • You can become a beacon of light to all those who are unsure of themselves. They can find hope by merely being in your company.
  • The Holy Ghost is one of our most loyal companions.
  • It is our duty to stand as witnesses of God.

Jean B. Bingham

  • We are united in the work of the Lord.
  • Learn to appreciate each others differing strengths and use those strengths to support one another.
  • Men and Women should be considered equal and work side by side to help further the work of the Lord.
  • Women who are endowed in the temple have priesthood power in their lives and in their homes as they keep their covenants with God.
  • When Women and Men work together, we accomplish a great deal more than when we try to work separately. That's because their roles are complimentary not competitive.
  • We are most effective when we're willing to learn from one another.
  • You must support one another to make progress and achieve their goal.
  • It's all about Trust and working Together.
  • Look for the Good in Each Other.
  • We need Women who have the courage and vision to unite with our Brethren in bringing people onto Christ.
  • Walk arm in arm in the sacred work to prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord.
Henry B. Eyring
  • Have we been changed in a way that we want to last?
  • The Lord has prepared in Detail the way in which to spread his Gospel.
  • Whenever we solve on problem we open the door for more revelation on more advancements we could do.
  • The Lord lets us make improvements.
  • Temples will soon again be operating. The Lord saw it all coming. He planned for it. Step by step.
  • Chose to do Hard Things Well.
  • Sacrifice brings continued blessings that we did not foresee.
  • Have Faith that the Lord is leading this Restoration. He goes before us. He knows the future perfectly. He invites you to the work. He Joins you in it. He has in place a plan for Your Service. He loves you.
Dallin H. Oaks
  • The Priesthood is to be used for the benefit of All God's children.
  • Men who hold the Priesthood are not The Priesthood.
  • The purpose of God's plan is to lead God's children to Eternal Life. Mortal Families are essential to that plan.
  • The blessings of the Priesthood are available to both men and women alike.
  • Holders of the Priesthood should keep the commandments so that they'll have the Power of the Priesthood to give blessings should they be asked of them.
  • Parents should be encouraged to give more priesthood blessings.
  • Choose to be filled with light. Not darkness.
  • The light or darkness in our bodies depends on how we receive or see the eternal truths we've been taught.
  • To know if something is good or evil, look to the fruits, to the results.
Russell M. Nelson
  • It is important to remember this is not the Church of Joseph Smith or the Church of Mormon. It is the Church of Jesus Christ.
  • When we remove the Lord's name from the name of his Church we inadvertently remove him as the Central Focus in our lives.
  • Let us not just talk of Christ or preach of Christ or employ a symbol representing Christ. Let us put our Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ into ACTION.
  • Give yourself to Fasting and Prayer.
  • God has all power all wisdom all understanding. He comprehended all things and is a merciful being to those who will repent and believe on his name.
  • The most natural thing for us to do is to call upon Heavenly Father and his Son.
  • Tonight let us fast, pray, and unite our faith once again. Let us prayerfully pray for relief from this global pandemic.
  • A fast is often considered to be 2 meals or 24 hours, whatever works for you. But decide what will be a sacrifice for you.
  • I know that God will respond to the pleadings of his People.
