190th Annual General Conference Highlights -Sunday Sessions

Sunday Morning

Ronald A. Rasband

  • You can stave off the lions in your life by having Faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.
  • We are the people charged with ushering in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We are here to gather God's children.
  • It's the Greatest Challenge, The Greatest Cause, and the Greatest Work on the Earth Today.
  • The Doctrine of Jesus Christ unites all of us around the world, regardless of how we look or dress. We are One people with a Father in Heaven who has a plan to have his Family be reunited.
  • We need greater harmony and civility in the world.
  • We must be prepared in heart and mind and be worthy to receive Christ when he returns.
  • The Restoration Continues.
  • I promise you will see the Hand of God in your lives, hear His promptings, and feel His love.

Bonnie H. Cordon

  • We can be filled with the light of the Savior.
  • Jesus Christ has called upon us to "let your light so shine" before the people.
  • Be more intentional in helping others see the Path that fills you with light.
  • I need the light to shine where I am walking.
  • Are you shining your light in a way that will help others to safely navigate the path back home with confidence?
  • Focus our lights so that others may See the way to Christ.
  • Come. See. Is this not the Christ?
  • Find a way to witness of the Savior's Light and Love.
  • The Savior Testified that "I am the Light ye shall Hold up." He will bring the light if you will just point others towards him. We have enough light now.
  • We can intentionally shine our lights so that others may see, we can extend an invitation, we can walk the journey with those who are haltingly stepping towards the Savior. We can gather Israel.
  • We may be required to step out of our comfort zones in order to help the light of the Lord shine.

Jeffrey R. Holland

  • Our Hopes are not in Vain.
  • What was once only hoped for has now become history.
  • We pray for all those effected by this worldly plague.
  • May we be committed to freeing the world from the viruses of hunger and poverty. For safety in school. For personal dignity of every child of God.
  • God does work in this world.
  • We can hope we should hope even when facing the greatest odds.
  • Continue to believe, despite every reason you encounter that convinces you not to believe. Still Believe.
  • We all need to believe that what we desire in righteousness can someday somehow yet be ours.
  • If we finally lose hope, we lose our last sustaining possession.
  • When our backs are to the wall and other helpers fail and comforts free, our most indispensable virtue will be the precious gift of hope linked in our Faith in God and Charity to others.
  • We did not come this far to only come this far.
  • You must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope and a love of God and all men.
  • We have every reason to hope for blessings even greater than those we've already received.
David A. Bednar
  • The word "Heart" is used over 1,000 times in the standard works.
  • Our Hearts are the sum total of who we are.
  • Become anxiously engaged in this work.
  • Selfless Service helps us to Hear Him and Come unto the Savior.
  • The Lord works from the Inside Out. The world works from the Outside In.
  • Christ changes Men who then change their environment as Christ can change Human Nature.
  • Honor your covenants steadfastly and always remember them.
  • We do not come to the temple to hide from or escape the evils of the world. We come to the temple to conquer the evils of the world.
  • We are blessed with strength beyond our own to overcome the challenges of mortality.
  • More Temples are Coming.
  • 1. Hear Him. Have our own Hearts Changed. 2. Fulfill joyfully the responsibility to offer temple blessings to the entire human family on both sides of the veil.
  • The building up of Zion is a cause that has interested the people of God in every age.
Russell M. Nelson
  • We commend you for choosing to hear the word of the Lord during this time of turmoil.
  • The increasing darkness of tribulation makes the light of Christ shine even brighter.
  • Think of the good that you can do during this time.
  • We have front row seats to witness Live what the prophet Nephi only saw in Vision.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ your YOUR Savior.
  • Revelation continues to flow through the Lord during this ongoing Restoration.
  • You will Never be left comfortless or without access to the power of God to help you.
  • Messages from our Heavenly Father are communicated simply, quietly and with plainness where we cannot misunderstand him.
  • Our Father knows that when we are surrounded by uncertainty and fear. What helps us the most is to Hear his Son.
  • When we seek to Hear his Son, we will be guided to know what to do under any circumstance.
  • Our efforts to Hear Him need to be more intentional.
  • Daily immersion in the Word of God is crucial for Spiritual Survival.
  • Seek refuge in the Temple.
  • Ask the Lord to Teach you how to Open the Heavens to bless your life and the lives of those you serve.
  • Increase your spiritual capacity in order to receive spiritual revelation to know what to do in times of crisis.
  • Hear. Harken. Heed.
  • You will be blessed with additional power to deal with temptations, trials and weakness.
  • Your capacity to feel joy will increase even if turbulence increases in your life.
  • God loves his children in every nation of the world.
  • The Earth will never again be the same as God will gather together in one all things in Christ.
  • The Heavens are Open.

Sunday Afternoon

Dallin H. Oaks.
  • We are truly blessed even in the midst of trials and tribulations.
  • Those who prayerfully study the message of the restoration and act in faith will be blessed to gain a witness of it's divinity.
  • To become who we are destined to be we have to go through trials to become that person.
  • Sometimes our needeth growth is formed during trials rather than in times of comfort.
  • We can receive divine help and strength to be able to endure the burdens found in mortality.
  •  Our progress need not conclude with the end of mortality.
Quentin L. Cook.
  • Sometimes we receive revelation even when we don't yet know the Lord's purposes.
  • This restored Church is lead by our Savior Jesus Christ. He knows who to call as our Apostles and in what order to call them.
  • Of all things we should be most grateful for, is that the heavens are open and that the restored Church of Jesus Christ is found on the Rock of Revelation.
  • All the standard works of the Church contain the mind and the word of the Lord.
  • Continuous Revelation has been and is being received through channels that the Lord has established.
  • We need you. The Church needs you. The Lord needs you.
  • Friends at first are Friends again.
  • The Church and it's members will welcome you back no matter your situation.
  • The Holy Ghost can influence Everyone in a powerful way. Though it will not be constant unless you are baptized and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
  • Be patient and trust in the Lord's timing.
  • Significant spiritual guidance comes most often when we are trying to help others.
Ricardo P. Gimenez
  • Although our lives may be relatively smooth, the time will come to each of us where the storms will come that will push our limits to endure them.
  • No matter the storm battling us, whether there is a solution or an end in sight. There is a single refuge provided by our Heavenly Father to help us in these times. The Lord Jesus Christ and his Atonement.
  • Suffering is universal. But suffering is also individual. Suffering can be a strengthening experience combined with faith, or it can be a destructive force in our lives if we do not have the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We must have Faith in Him.
  • Remember that the trial of our faith even by fire will lead to praise and honor and the glory of Christ.
  • We can feel joy regardless of what is or is not happening in our lives.
  • We are NOT alone.
  • If you come, you will see, you will help, and you will stay.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
  • We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ.
  • We are encouraged to immerse ourselves in the words of God through his prophets ancient and modern.
  • Find out for yourself what this Church is all about.
  • Come and help. Come and serve with us and Follow in the Footsteps of the Savior in making the World a better place.
  • Strive to become the best version of yourself.
  • God cares regardless of who the person is.
  • Heavenly Father is waiting for our Return. Our Savior is awaiting our Return.
  • Even when you feel far away from God he can still see you and have compassion for you and will run to you with open arms.
  • Come and Belong.
  • He expects us to believe even when it's difficult to do so.
  • We learn the important lessons of our lives through experience.
  • You don't have to walk this road alone. You have not been left to wander in darkness.
  • The Lord qualifies who he calls.
  • God didn't wait to find the perfect person to restore his gospel. If he did, he would still be waiting.
  • God uses the weak and the plain to bring about his purposes. It is God's power, not Man's that accomplishes His work in the world.
  • You don't have to be perfect. You merely need a desire to grow your faith and draw closer to him every day.
L. Whitney Clayton
  • Establishing the finest homes has everything to do with the personal qualities of the one who lives there.
  • The finest characteristic of any home, is the image of Christ reflected in the home's residents.
  • The attributes of Christ are acquired in the process of time.
  • We need to develop our spiritual lives, not our real estate.
  • Grow a little kinder, more loving, more understanding.
  • Families will succeed through righteous living.
  • You can't always see the changes, but their effects will be real and will be felt.
D. Todd Christofferson
  • The Restoration belongs to all the world.
  • When you share the Book of Mormon you share the Restoration.
  • Most of our invitations to share the Gospel will be declined, but everyone is still able to receive that invitation despite how often the invitation may be extended.
Russell M. Nelson
  • Hear Him.
  • Hear, Harken to, and Heed the words of the Savior. Decreased Fear and Increased Faith will Follow.
  • Stand up and Speak up for Him wherever we are.
  • During times of distress, when temples are closed, you can still draw upon the power of your temple covenants and endowments. Please use this time while temples are closed to live a temple worthy life.
  • Christ is at the center of everything we do in the Temple.
