Endless Noise

So it's one of those things you grow to tolerate after working in a pet store.

And that....is the squeaking of doggy toys.

It seems like everyday at least twice a day a child (or you know adults do it too) discovers one of the dog toys makes noise.
And that noise...for whatever reason, delights the child enough that they keep squeaking it.
Again.
And again.
And again.
And again.

Until they either are told to stop (which it's surprising how many parents just let their kids squeak the toys endlessly) or they leave the store.

Most of the time it only lasts for a couple of minutes or so at most.

But today.
Today it seemed to go on for forever.

Like I know it wasn't my entire shift.

But it sure felt like it. 

At least six times someone in the store found a squeaky dog toy and proceeded to squeak it for like five to ten minutes straight.

Like. WHY?!?
HOW ARE YOU ENTERTAINED BY THAT RACKET?!

Gah.
The noise eventually got on my nerves because squeaky toy noises aren't Ever pleasant and I was already getting tense from a bunch of other things going on in the department.

*exhales*

Yah....it doesn't usually doesn't happen as much as it did today.
