Trick or Treating

It's cold.
Which I love the cold.
But cold is so much more better when there's snow on the ground to accompany the cold.

But it was cold.
Especially last night.

Which is not a good thing for trick or treaters hoping to gather a ton of candy on Halloween.

Because with cold weather freezing your fingers and your toes and your nose....
It's not easy to stay out going from house to house for long.

Usually we get a ton of trick or treaters coming to our house.

Like last year we were worried we were going to run out of candy and had to pull out extra to ensure we had enough for all the trick or treaters.

And this year.
We were trying something more.
Where I ended up going to the Dollar Store buying a bunch of little toys to add into the candy for those kids who didn't want candy or couldn't have specific types of candy.

And for funsies I also got some doggie treats from work to keep in a bowl for any dogs that might be out and about trick or treating with their families.
Had a sign and everything saying that doggies could trick or treat here.
(We got 4 puppers! Woot!)

But yah.
The trick or treaters were....much less this year.

Like we still had half a bowl filled with candy/toys when all was said and done.

And like...there were long stretches between each trick or treater. Fifteen to twenty minutes would go by with no ringing of the doorbell or knocking on the door.

Which is weird when I'm used to getting them every five minutes or so in this particular area.

So yah.

It was a rather slow night compared to previous Halloweens.

Until you next read these words;
I'll be watching the leaves.
Enjoy the day!
